Hi All,
As we come to the close of 2010 the mods and I have put together a brief outline of 2010 with some of the activities that took part on Eater this year. Of course the list is by no means all encompassing but it certainly does highlight some of the moments from 2010. If you remember any feel free to add them to this thread.
Some interesting stats for this year
Since Jan 1 2010 we have had well over 180,000 thousand posts on Eater, we average around 500 posts per day. Thats a lot of stuff that us baiters have to say
We've had around 9000 signups this year (some spammers / some trolls some simply nosy people wanting to know what goes on here, but the vast majority of members are members that want to get involved with scam baiting and fight back somehow.)
Over 61 pages of threads have been added to the offline fake sites forum since January 1, 2010. There are occasional threads for sites that were determined legit but many threads also have more than one fake domain reported on them. With 30 threads to an index page that is well over 1830 fake sites researched, reported and killed in our fake sites forum at Eater.

Of course being a sitekiller first and foremost, this stat makes me the most happy and I am proud to be a very small part of the dedicated crew that works the FB forum. And how we could do nothing in there if not for the wonderful work of Artemis, the king of the DB keys!
There is no way to pick just one bait that it my favorite, but Jwoods' Curious George bait was certainly one of the most impressive and is an incredible format for baiting.
I also really loved seeing all the Clown Lads baited by bravo95, even if most of them are more scary than silly. (And now they are all causing Janey to drink heavily as his C4C accountant!)
Most of all, I am glad to be part of this great community with the best baiters in the world and an incredible mod/admin team. Thanks Rover for keeping Eater running! |

It is great to see more publicity for us and our cause this year! We are getting the word out!
I also hope to see more of Mrs. Cuervo's handiwork this coming year as I would like to think it was an awesome fundraiser. Have we ever considered going "non-profit" in at least the U.S. What are the implications involved?
So proud to be a part of it all! |

I second Bravo's clown modality. It's a work of art.
Badgerbait: with so many millions being offered to us, it's a damn shame we can't turn a profit. The taxes would be a nightmare, so perhaps it is for the best.
I would add Morgain's Dibley modality to the list. She's created a scarily efficient modality. |

Very nice summary, Rover
It is especially nice for us newcomers to see the stats and progress made in site killing and the frustration level the lads were put through. A special thanks to those wonderful site killers; they do a tremendous job.
We cannot forget Alan and the bank accounts he has put under water (so to speak).
Bluth puts on a wonderful radio show.
Much praise goes to all the Mentors who have encouraged us and showed us the paths to lad pain.
However, it is everyone on Eater who baits and puts the screws to the lads so they don't have time to pester real victims.
HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL! |

Wow! I'm with Dora when I say that when it comes to site killing, it's not just great fun -- we have an absolutely fantastic team to work with. The times when I fail to get the attention of a lazy registrar/hoster, there's always a fellow site killer who has my back, for which I am truly grateful. And then there's Artemis, responsible for at least 9000+ kills (I'm sure that number is low 'cause he's a modest fellow).
I very much enjoyed Bluth's radio show, sitting in the corner, smoking with Dora, watching N.O.R.A. scout for hot male baiters. The interviews were my favorite part of the show, and I look forward to more shows in 2011!
The Steward havoc was delicious, and it took our beloved Mods quite a while to settle us down after much wild speculation had been made. I'm still not convinced he wasn't a zombie looking for love.
Another favorite of mine was the Goat Quilt silent auction, which was equally delicious to watch as baiters furiously chopped each other's goats.
I couldn't begin to pick a favorite bait, because they are all as brilliantly unique as the baiter responsible.
Thank you, Rover, SOOI, and all others red, Mods, the purple ones, Mentors and EVERYONE for making Eater such a wonderful place to be. In a way it's a shame that Eater and ScamWarners even have to exist in the first place because of low-life pieces of crapola, but I'm glad they do, and I'm honored to play a wee part...and for the opportunity to laff my butt off a lot, with wonder at being surrounded by such creative geniuses who are on the side of victims.
Here's to another year of lad pain ratcheted up by what I know will be even more brilliant inspirations, resulting in more flags, more bacon (thank you Alan), more wasted lad internet time and phone credits, and more innocent people being kept out of harm's way .
Cheers, all. |

I'm glad I got to be a part of Eater in 2010 even if it was the last half. I'm looking forward to another year in the company of the worlds best and brightest baiters.
So many great baits its hard to "highlight" but I have a few that are my favorite.
In no particular order...
First: Dora and Bluth's Paga Croc Triplets. amazing safaris and incredible video and they did it three times!
Second:NoWhereMan's first and best in my opinion Safari!
Third: The incredible modality created by Evil Sheep exposing the dangers of Heavy Electric1ty to lads in danger zones.
Of course it should be mentioned as well a special thank you to all the great mentors who are forced to endure every noob question that is thrown at them and still there to help. |
