Most baiters use names that relate to the real world in some way. That or fake names that means something funny. A quick google at Ben Dover shows that that name applies to both cases. 
I'll like to use Alois Schickelgruber and he is more known as Hitlers dad. And i have actually had a lad google my ass and he called me on it, in a funny way i might add.
Another one of my characters is German villain Hans Gruber from Die Hard. And there is of course Mr Marshall Bruce Mathers which i have used with success. |

I sometimes bait as Peter Pann, some Lad called me up and pronounced it 'Pabb', so it may be the differences in pronunciation which makes them non-noticeable to Lads. |

I use the names of death metal singers and guitarists quite often (and use casual pics of them in the romance scams when they ask for a pic). Although I put them in unlikely jobs like lawyers and general managers at different companies.
My favorite name that I've made up so far is Julie 4nn Darkst4r (this bait is ongoing and I don't want the lad to find out), who is the high priestess of my Satanist cult. My romance lad sometimes calls her "Mother Darkst4r." |

I've read that a lot of the names lads use are as funny to them as our baiting names are to us.There is a huge cultural void there.
I frequently bait as George Patton.Never had a lad call me on it,but one did start adding the middle initial of S,so he must have at least looked it up.Didn't slow the bait down at all though,he obviously didn't finish his research. |
