I once had a coworker whom i borrowed the equivalent of 20$ to. He was however not that eager when it came to returning my money. He made many (not so) good excuses to why he did not the money that specific day. This was 10 years ago so i only remember one of them.

Apparently he had put the money in a plastic bag which he had forgotten at home. Perhaps not the greatest of excuses but if you put all of the together it was actually amusing. If you disregard the fact the i never got my money.

I worked in many law offices in my time and our office was handling a divorce case (I was the divorce paralegal). We represented the Plaintiff (wife). We were to have a conference at our office with the Wife and the Defendant and his attorney. The Husband was to bring certain documents to the conference.

When asked to produce the documents, he pulled a 9mm and said "This document will do" and proceeded to shoot his wife and one of our lawyers.

No one was killed, but the wife was hospitalized and our attorney suffered a small surface wound.

Yes, we called the police and had him arrested. No, I was not in the conference room at the time (thank God!)

I'm currently at the receiving end of baiterish excuses...

I'm trying to coordinate with another company on a advertisement campaign. There's something wrong with the stuff they're supplying us however, but every time I call them the colleague who is responsible for the technical stuff is 'out of the office'/'working externally' and then the guy on the telephone tries to help me but doesn't really help at all...

I once told my boss at hte time, that I got run over by a car on New Years Eve, and was lucky only to get a severe concussion. Bought me two extra days of recovery from my hangovers. Very Happy

(To be fair - the hangovers were extremely severe).
