Has anyone seen this before?

Quote:
Hello,
Just to find out if you can sell one of your kidney.
Urgent.

That's that. But he didn't need an introduction since we've known each other for a long time. This lad was (to me at least) a Ghanian "gold merchant" who failed many times to provide a decent lab report including kriptonite content (according to US custom regulations 766-34/88, etc, etc). At some point, he told me that one of his friends knew me and knew I wasn't for real (it's nice to know that I'm getting popular in Ghana). At any rate, it didn't discourage him from getting back for more.

I know where this is going, all the scams go the same way. I just can't imagine at this point how is he going to make me send some money.

Quote:
Dear,
Ok, let me know your time schedule because it require you to come to Ghana.
I will contact the Indian Doctor and book time with him when to come to Ghana. So tell me your time schedule. And how much are you selling?

He didn't even have a price for it. The Indian doctor and the Ghanian hospital don't sound appealing. I hope that alone discourages potential victims. It's hard to believe someone willing to sell a kidney over email... but it was hard to believe someone falling for any other scam.

Quote:
Dear,
Team of Doctors are coming from India for kidney transplant here in Ghana and I am mandated to get someone who is willing to donate kidney before the due date of arrival of the Doctors.
You have the market let me know your price.
Note,I am serious.
Regards,

Well, he's serious... he said that...

I'd like to know from someone baiting on a scam like this. I'll keep posting it for the records anyway.

It could be a nice twist for other baits: "I can't pay the barrister but if you have a buyer for my kidney..."

Laughing

most bizzare modality! I am sure that this could end up in a great safari, after all - you will want to climatize yourself to the climate at Simba! And I am sure that there will be loads of regualtions and forms you will require him to fill out.

Maybe ask for his toxicology report to see if your compatible, Smile)

At some point I thought about the possibility but I discarded it as too icky.
You know, buy a cow kidney, put it in a tupperware, seal it with silicone so it doesn't stink on the way (I'm almost sure it won't hold the pressure of the gas) and send it.

My kidney has a price tag already
Quote:
Hundred thousand dollars is too much .
We offer $30,000.
The client is my senior partner Mr Amoako.
He will is willing to pay $30,000.

Regards,

It's odd because it's a reasonable market price according to a recent report from the BBC. I would have thought he'd go with any figure I could come up with, I asked for one hundred thousands.
I'm starting to think he may be serious... Confused

30K was too low for me so I offered to get a homeless for him and he seems to be fine with that idea.
Quote:
Dear,
Yes,
Which ever we can get kidney fine.
Regards,

I'm pushing him to do it as soon as possible to see where it goes. I'm still in the dark. He should be sending me money in advance, check scam??
It doesn't make sense to ask me for my kidney and money.

Could be advance medical fees, insurance or other clearance "certificate", but mixing it up with a cheque scam would seem to be quite inventive. Maybe he's just got a new lad partner who does check scams?

I thought it may be a possibility. Still, it's a weird choice to ask for a kidney. Remember that this lad was a gold merchant and then one day, completely out of the blue, asked for my kidney. It would have shocked me less if he'd asked me to marry him Laughing

It is an odd one... Perhaps you can probe a little on the required blood group etc., so you can gp out on your murderous spree...

I told Sanny Sanny (in my sig line) he could easily raise half the $8000 needed to pay the transfer fee if he sold a kidney. He didn't much go for the idea, and said that still left him $4000 short. He twigged I wasn't going to be any use when I told him to sell both then. Very Happy

Mind you. He didn't fancy my idea of donating sperm at $5 a shot either. You just can't help some people. Laughing

We can do business together. I have an offer of 30K for one, Sanny Sanny needs 8K and my lad is willing to accept any kidney. We can send Sanny Sanny to get his 8K and we split the remaining 22K.

Maybe he is genuinely desperate, hardly seems a fair bait any more!

To find out if he's a scammer, you could send him an ASEM from a different baiter address talking about money.

@manbiteslion

I didn't know there was such thing as a "fair bait"...
Anyway, I haven't baited in years but this one falling out of the blue with this request? I had to.

@scambuster3

I asked him exactly that. He's checking with the doctor.

@Jeannette

I know he is. He had tried to sell me gold in the past (unsuccessfully Laughing ).

I don't think an ASEM would do any good here. He aimed at me, maybe someone else. It doesn't look like a mass scam. But I'm thorn in the middle here. Part of me thinks that it's a scam and, as such, he should be spreading his chances as much as possible. The other part of me thinks that this is completely crazy and real.

One way or the other, he's unbelievable stupid.

A possible scenario that I imagine is he being a low rank 419er (he is) whose big boss is about to have a kidney transplant in Ghana with an Indian doctor but no donor has been found yet. He's trying to save the life of his boss by finding a donor. If this is the case, the chances of getting far with this bait are nil. Sooner or later someone is going to ask for serious questions that I won't be willing to answer.
Not to mention a man's life at risk, even if he's a criminal.

Again, if this is the case, he's unbelievable stupid.

He's avoiding me and making excuses. As scary as it sounds, I'm starting to think he was serious about buying a kidney and someone slapped him hard for being so dumb.

It's really sad... it could have been a wonderful bait Laughing
