I was wondering if it would be possible to make a call from my skype but make it appear on the scammers mobile as if the call was coming from a nigerian number. I need it to convince a scammer for a safari me and Raga Man are working on.

Unless... there is anyone in nigeria who is willing to make a call for me Question

they have sites where you can spoof your caller ID. I don't know which can be used by skype. if someone knows they should PM you just to be on the safe side

I know VoxOx allows you to spoof numbers. But Skype doesn't (so far as I know).

In my baiting and RL experience, Skype calls come up as "unknown" or "no number" on caller ID so no need to worry about faking where the call is coming from. You can be anywhere.... including Nigeria. Very Happy

If you want a bit of fun you can try this trick at your own risk and you will get a Nigerian number !!

Skype allows you to choose any caller ID you like provided that you validate the number (they will send an activation code via SMS)
You can befriend a Nigerian lad, tell him whatever story so you can use his number and convince him to send you the activation code.

Now, when you call anyone from Skype they will see a Nigerian number. Job is done !

Limitations:
1- if some other lads try to call the number, the original Nigerian lad will answer, so be sure that you tell them that it's a friend number and you prefer them to call your other number.
2- Skype will send a deactivation code to the Nigerian lad (I'm not sure how long will it be valid for), so be sure to gain the lad's trust first Laughing

It occurs to me that the above idea would be a great addition to the toolkit.

We should set some baits up in Nigeria, Ghana, and the Ivory Coast, just to get numbers set up there for some local flavor.

the idea with skype is good.

what, if you report the mobile because of fraud after he accepted the sms? Then, the lad has no access to the number anymore, and can't receive the deactivation sms anymore.

poor lad looses a sim card, and the money stored on this card, and you get your number. The limitation is, that you can't be called, but the lad can't be called either.

The two codes will be received once at the same time (the deactivation one will be with a link)

I used this trick with a UK number and it works beautifully!!
The good thing is that the numbers will be saved into your account, so you can bait as much as you can and have many numbers that you can switch between without the need to the verification each time !!!
