Hi guys,
what should I do? My lad told me, that HE doesn't want any delays, even if I'm a busy m.d. . Should, or shouldn't I do what he says? Will I "loose" him, when he has to wait for example over the weekend?
Does someone know what the lads are doing for a living? Are they just scaming??? For me it seems so, because he can't understand when I don't answer a mail immediately, even calls 10-15 minutes after sending the mail, and tells me, that I've a new mail in my inbox...

My approach would be to keep dictating the pace that you want. If he leaves just get a more compliant one. |

Heh
Scammers vary. Some email every minute and want the money now now now now..... Others are lazy bast*rds and won't get off their backside to fill in a crappy form you send them.
The only rule is scamming should be fun not hard work. If a scammer is a pain then just drop him. There are plenty more to choose from |

Actually yeah on second thoughts just drop him now. Tell him that you are a professional and can't waste all your time with his phone calls and emails. Make him know that his attitude blew his payday and he may slow down next time. |

Dear Mr. Umeh,
I'm a hard working man (over 60 hours a week, rather 70!), and I don't want to spend my hole time in front of the PC, or listening to your voicemail. So I decided to quit working with you. I'm really sorry, but obviously I'm not the right one for you.
Good bye,

You are right, it should be fun FOR ME. I think that's something I've to learn very fast...

urin, you are in charge of the bait and don't let some scammer lad tell you how to act or hurry.
That doesn't mean you have to always be mean and slapping them around. I never do what they say, when they tell me to do it, but I am always (well, usually) polite and apologetic about it:
'I swear Mr. Lad, I was going to do it, but I couldn't because the dog ate my ID and I have to apply for a new one. (Or, you were hooking up the scanner and it dropped and broke, or your wife (hubby) took the money you were saving to send him and spent it on whores and booze, etc.) I am so sorry!'
Stuff like that. And you can always remind him that he came to you with the offer, not the other way around. And if you are prepared for him not to reply, then usually they always stay around like they are stuck to you like glue, especially when you have caused them to think that just one (or two) more emails and they will have their money from you. |

@ urin A wise Eater person once told me to set the pace when I was anxious to answer each email when it was received. Now I just go in and read the new email, put a star beside it (I have gmail) and answer in a day or two. Now I see the wisdom in the baiter being patient about answering because the more you are patient the more anxious the scammer gets -- and IMHO that is a good thing. |

Hello urin! Welcome! Like others said no to rush things or worry if a lad is trying to rush you. In fact stalling is the main goal in baiting. The longer you string him along the better. Just imagine anything that could possibly go wrong and send him those excuses. Just recently a baiter told me they told a lad the couldn't pay the money because they had to use it for a brain transplant for their pet beaver.
If the lad drops you just pick up a new one. There are plenty more in the waiting. Just remember what you may have done wrong and correct on future baits. It takes practice.
Also good bit of advice limit your self to one email a day and use it to ask questions.
Happy hunting! |

Whenever I'm dealing with a lad, I find it helpful to read the email, sit back and think 'What would an angry drunk do right now?'. |

Welcome to eater, urin! Any time I run across a lad who is that pushy, I take it as a pretty clear signal he doesn't have any other potential victims at the moment. That puts you firmly in charge of the pace of the bait. In addition, slow responses from you will just agitate him as he gets more and more desperate to get to his payday. A desperate and agitated lad makes for happy baiting! |

Welcome to Eater Urin!
You'll soon discover that every thing has to be done by tomorrow in lad land. ie I will be visiting the banker tomorrow, I will travel to the barristers office tomorrow, the deadline is tomorrow. In one of my current baits, I told him it would only take a week or 2, its been 6 weeks and we're just getting warmed up. |

Yep, I'd go along with all that has been written here. It was nice to see the lad come crawling back to you when you threatened to pull out.
I'd say always give your assurances that you want everything done as soon as possible.. blah, blah and then always find some reason (blame the lad if possible) why it is taking so long. |

On this matter, do you usually have a well thought plan on how to steer your lad through several obstacles, or do you usually just wing it and see how the "story" unfolds itself. I`m trying both approaches atm and i allready see that whn winging it i can just send at any time what i want, and with my planned lad i need to wait for certain things to happen before i can act on it, so i usually need to postpone with message like, my brother died, i need some personal time etc. |

Personally I'm still winging it. I'm straight baiting only at the moment, getting a feel for the scripts and typical sorts of reactions to different sorts of hold ups. I've got some good modalities that I will definitely be planning to use again, but for now I'm trying different things, and going with the general flow of the scenario. |

what type of respons (early in the bait) usually gets the best result, Playing hard to get/not trusting, playing overly trusting and really wanting the money or showing a sympathetic way where you feel so bad for the lad? |

been trying different methods and as far as i can see now, playing the i want to but i don`t trust you makes them not respond very quickly and the keep sending the same mail over and over again. |

Show trust. You trust them 100% implicitly and explicitly. You WANT to send them the money. You just don't seem to be able to however hard you try...
Edit: Which email is it? Are they asking for details or money? |

I've always played 'trusting', just really, really dumb. Over the course of one bait I had a hitlad turn into a lovelad, and I couldn't send him money quite yet because I needed it for an ear transplant specialist for my 3-eared dog. Eventually the dog died due to congenital ear impaction. The lad immediately figured out that I still had my money (ear transplant specialists are hard to come by ) and begged for plane fare to attend the dog's funeral. I sent him money a couple of times (not) and was eventually run over by a bus on my third trip to WU.
Lather, rinse, repeat. Generally if they think there's any chance your character will cough up some loot, they'll hang around. |

Just remember there are ALWAYS problems and like Fae said as long as they still smell a pay day they will stick with you. When your straight baiting you are playing a victim and need to act as such. Just keep the problems going car breaks down, terrorist blew up your house, your local WU office was struck by an astroid just as you walked out. Ok these are a little out there but the longer you keep him on the hook the more crazy you can add. |
