Has anyone heard of a lad using an iPhone?
I saw a listing on Craigslist that looked suspicious to me: A guy looking for a home to do a Playboy photoshoot in. Thinking it a scam I responded, but the guy's response came from an iPhone asking for pictures of my home and suggesting we meet.
It may be a scam, but I'm thinking it's not the advance fee fraud I thought it was. Should I dig deeper or abort? I'm leaning towards the latter but just wanted to see any of you know of a scam that opens like this? |

May be for real, may be someone wanting to check out your security arrangements to rob you. Where did you hear the ad? Is he offering more than $50 for your inconvenience? Is your house special in any way? I assure you, there is no lack of average looking houses that he would need to advertise to find one on something as scattergun as CL! |

I have seen plenty of craigs Lads (not) sending mail from their iPhones.
Most just put the words "sent from my iPhone" in their auto-signature.
I've tried de-education my putting "sent from my eaterPad" in mine. |

That was a good point about lads just tacking "Sent from iPhone" to their sigs so I pulled the header info. The X-Mailer line says it was from an iPhone:

Using a live.com email address seems like a strike against him.
I'm in Houston and this email is originating from Houston. He offered $200 for use of my house.
And I haven't sent him pictures of my house yet, I just sent out a feeler email to see what kind of response I'd get. |

Not everything that you see on craigslist is a scam. Maybe this one isn't.
You showed doubts in you opening post:-
