Somebody put my return email address into a spam header, I am being bombarded by bounces. Some are angry replies from mods.
It was threatened, and it happened. And I was stupid to use my good email....

Ok, I'll play dumb -- what are you talking about? Mods are sending you angry emails? Who threatened you?

It can happen that a lad gets angry and your email account will get bombed. If this is what happened, you should feel proud that you got a lad that angry. Wink

Sorry, I did not explain it well. Somebody went and put my email address into the "reply to" field of the email header. And went on a spam spree. Of course, the thing bounces to my email. As well as a few messages from sysops

Happened to me too a few times. Most spam tools use a randomly chosen domain name to construct fake sender addresses. If you own a few domains it's only a matter of time until it hits you.
I just put up a note saying "I didn't do it" on the homepage and have the spam filter discard non-delivery notes for a couple days. Sadly there's not much more you can do. I think it got better since I've added SPF records for my domains.

The flood has stopped. but wow, how many bounces do they get per spam?
