Whats is the last asking price for your listed item?
I hope its still available
--
Yes, I still have the Trooper. Asking price on eBay is $4500. However, on the forums I've stated I would take $4000(firm). Turned down $3850 last weekend.
I have someone coming to re-look at it this Sunday.
Let me know if you have any other questions or want to come see the vehicle.
Thanks for the interest.

Hello,
Thanks for the quick response, i am buying this item as a birthday gift for dad and i am at sea at this moment as i am a marine engineer and due to the nature of my work, phone calls making and visiting of website are restricted but i squeezed out time to check this advert and send you an email regarding it. I really want the item to be a surprise for dad so i wont let him know anything about the item until it gets delivered to him , i am sure he will be more than happy with the item.I insisted on paypal because i don't have access to my bank account online as i don't have internet banking, but i can pay from my PayPal account, as i have my bank a/c attached to it, i will need you to give me your PayPal email address so i can make the payment as soon as possible for the item and pls if you don't have PayPal account yet,it is very easy to set up, go on www.paypal.com and get it set up ,after you have set it up i will only need the e-mail address you use for registration with PayPal so as to put the money through.my dad have pick up agent that will come and pick the item up after i have made the payment.
I would really like to come to see the item, but due to my work frame that would not be possible, I am a Marine engineer , I am now on the ship, but if you got the item pics. you can send to me to have a good look
Are you the first owner of the item ,
Does the item have any mechanical disabilities presently?
What is your reason for selling it?
I'm sorry, just want to be sure about the sale before i proceed.
Note: I will pay you $4000.00 for the item and Get back to me with your PayPal e-mail asap.
Regards |

If the item is electronics or jewelry, he likely wants the item and will give you an address to ship it to. If it is anything else, he will want you to use his "shipping agent" who conveniently only accepts money via Western Union--and he will need you to make arrangements with (i.e. send money to ) the shipper.
Then he will send you a fake paypal email saying the money has been taken from his account and will show up in yours once you provide proof of shipping. Basically, he wants you to pay the shipper or put the item in the mail before you realize the emails are fake.
Anyone who uses paypal regularly is unlikely to fall for this scam, as they most likely realize that paypal does not work that way --they do not hold money for any reason. Unfortunately, numerous people who are not familiar with paypal have fallen for this scam. |

Makes sense. His "sending me" the paypal payment with $4000 for the vehicle and an extra amount for me to pay off the shipper (via Western Union) was the only way I could think it would work.
Any suggestions on how to respond? |

Sure! Don't do anything until you see the cleared PayPal payment in your account. It's impossible to fake a PayPal payment. You will be charged a fee however, about 2% as you are the seller. |

I forgot to add, you don't pay the shipper anything. He does. it's not your job to pay for shipping. If he can PayPal you from the ship he can damn well PayPal the shipper! Just his poor use of English hints of a scam here. |

If he has your real life info, just walk away.
If he doesn't have any real life info and you want to try baiting him, there's no reason not to--though this kind of bait won't last too long as he is going for the quick buck. You can play it straight, and not understand how the whole paypal/shipping thing works. Or you can get the info on the shipper, but then start finding fault with the shipper. You can start asking lots of questions about his "fascinating" work on a ship... |

I was just about to make the payment when i had this little problem with the picking up,I got an email from my agent..i thought i didn't include that in my previous email.he said he won't come and pick up the item unless i pay him the agent commission fee first in order to be able to schedule a pick up time ,and my pick up agent head quarters is in the Florida and all commission payments made for pick up, from anywhere in the world is sent to their head quarters in the Florida and the only form of payments they accept is western union money transfer and i tried to pay online but i will need a credit card which i didn't bring along, and there is no post office here as well..(there is usually a westernunion section in most post offices) or any western union agent here! so i have to ask you to help me with the pick up fees, i will include the $900 they charged to pick it up and take it my home(1st class treatment), to the payments i will send through paypal.
After i have made the payments and it has been confirmed by paypal, i will need you to help me send the $900 to my pick up agent through western union money transfer, the western union money transfer can be made at a post office near to you, there is always a western union agent in most post offices or online at www.westernunion.com .I will be making the payments shortly and will email you as soon as it has been done..
Leave me your number maybe i can call you about this.. |

Hmm, where does it say it's from?? he says the agent is in "the florida" ?? hmmm. Now, what kind of shipping company here in the USA only accepts WU??? now that is real strange?? Notice also he never makes direct reference to the auto you have for sale, it is always "the item", that makes me think that his letter is some sort of template/blanket application written to apply to all situations?? Ask it where it lives, where is this ship he is on?? |

I'm new here I just found the site. I am selling a car and received this EXACT email just a few days ago. I just deleted it because it sounded suspicious. I'm glad I did, but on another note after reading some of the forums I may need to reply to them to keep them busy LOL. Thanks for the heads up on this. |
