All I did was ask my lad what a SWIFT code was. Seems an innocent question. So far the correspondence has been going on for over a month. He has, rather rudely I thought, suggested I getter a "better" bank than my elite, private Swiss bank, which doesn't have anything so vulgar as a SWIFT code.
Apparently better banks have them. Oh wait, no, it's bigger banks. Oh, now his latest email tells me every bank in the world has one. (On a point of fact, he's probably right that every big bank has one. In real life I have worked for several small ones that didn't.)
He seems to have forgotten that I haven't yet sent him my name and address (in any modality). |
