^^^Indeed. I can't say I remember any epic baits they were involved in and I have been around here lurking for quite a few years (with a rather significant pause though).
Out of the other three it wasn't easy to pick one and the one I voted for only won by a small margin.

It's a close, close call but if you going to twist my arm like that I'd have to vote for lads who get shot at and eventually go MIA in war torn countries or who get kidnapped by gorillas* over the many lads with bent or otherwise misshapen personal equipment.

* The big hairy kind for those of you who can not spell, not guerrillas. But maybe that's splitting hairs anyway.

Reading this I am beginning to think that if you don't post your baits you don't count.

I only posted one simple bait a few years ago and I don't do co-baits or group baits anymore as one mishap will blow it for all.
Doesn't mean that I don't have fun or waste their time, it is just not that spectacular and I don't see the need of giving my method away so it can be compromised and I have to rewrite my script/documents/pictures etc.

For that reason alone I can't vote, also not baiting but killing websites hurts them better I think as real money is lost and time is wasted without excessive trouble of the baiter. At the same time all his victims are warned that something is very fishy with this guy/group. So if I got a bit of time I rather kill a site than taking on an extra lad.

Edit: I would have to vote for my mentor as he does nasty things to them out of the public eye Twisted Evil

^^ I think Snowy_owl was just trying to have some fun. If you don't post your baits that's fine. No one said there was anything wrong with that. Of course, if you never post your baits you certainly can't be considered for a poll like this. Wink

And I'm sure this was certainly not posted as an argument as to which kind of baiting is best. As a destroyer of many fake sites I agree wholeheartedly with the value in killing them, but on the other hand it doesn't have the same entertainment value as a gold pith safari. Very Happy

That couldn't be further from the truth. Anyone who wastes lads' time/resources/energy "counts". I don't personally go for the glamorous baits (well, not to say that I won't in the future, I just haven't yet, I'm still new here), but they sure are entertaining to read when people pull them off.

As I said before, anything that wastes their time/resources/energy is good, and baiting is meant to be fun. Everyone has their own style. Straight baiting isn't particularly glamorous, but it is certainly very effective. I personally like to quietly kill bank accounts and fake bank websites. As far as you not choosing to post your baits, that is certainly something that is totally up to you.

Killing websites does a lot of lad damage. But so do safaris. Trophy baiting in its simplest form (holding up a sign) doesn't cost a LOT of money (well, it depends on the circumstances), but everyone on this list has cost lads a lot of money and wasted a lot of their time. Of course, a lot of it is pure luck and finding the right lad. Big Worm got 7 lads to get arrested by sending them to the . Many people have tried afterward to do the same thing (myself included) and haven't been able to replicate his success.

Also, you can't even say that these people haven't posted some very entertaining baits over the years. Non-baiters who have just read others' baits over the years (or months) have the ability to vote in this poll. So, please, don't think that I was trying to make a statement or prove a point of any kind by posting this poll. As BluthBanana said, I'm just trying to have some fun. I'm curious to see what other people think about some of the great baiters who have come through here over the years.
