I think this one is in fact, completely bonkers.

This comes from an email sent to me to one of my baiting emails, with nothing attached, just this text. I don't know what the F@*k to make of it!:

I got similar a couple of days ago, different text, but all meaningless crap. Nothing to do with baiting. It's purpose...???? Who knows, but out the to trash it goes.

Its a big push by spammers to try and disrupt the spam detection filters.

They send loads of crap without Spam links in.

Spam filters adapt themselves regarding those specific words, phrases and sentence structures.

Spammers send out same message but this time with spam links.

Spam filters recognise the words, sentences and phrases from the original mail and class it as a genuine message.

Spam email gets delivered.

but that doesnt seem to make much sense? I mean, this was automatically sent to my spam folder. if they send out the same email again with the spam links in, then it would still be recognised as spam and put into my spam folder :/

Yes, just because it's lame and stupid and a complete waste of time, doesn't mean that these idiots won't try Smile

Most of the 419 mails I fish out of my firewalls quarantine filter. As soon as people add links in e-mails the spam score shoots up anyways. Especially as I use RBLDNS.

I'm thinking these spammers are different from our lads. If there intenion is to try to get these thru filters, the attachments won't be lads scripts but other useless crap like links to nude female mongolian yak herders.

true - and i know the ones you mean, very well. But, the confusion is that, this particular one, didn't have any kind of attachment on it. I suppose it could be an accident on their part. Either way, still strange!
