Ok, so a hotel would have a staff position of a Vacancy Manager? I
haven't replied yet but I am really excited to find out how much it pays, what the job entails, and most of all, what I have to pay via Western Union.

I got this one too and was intrigued by what a vacancy manager does.. Are you in charge of the empty rooms? Sounds like a cush job. I would have replied but didnt know how to bait it. I have a feeling though you dont send wu right away.. They send you a check for travel to UK which they acidently over pay and need some money back. At least thats how it went down when I applied for the nanny job..They didnt even care I was a double amputee but it did make it difficult to cash my travel expenses check.

What the scam involves is that the hotel immediately offers you any job you ask for (I am baiting them from 2 accounts and have been given the position of "Ferret Wrangler" and "Horse riding instructor" respectively) and then the "Hotel" refers you to a bogus UK government agency - I know we're a bit strapped for cash but it's a bit worrying that UK Immigration has to resort to using Yahoo accounts for mail Smile

This "agency" then tells you that you need some sort of visa or "certificate of skills" before you can take up the job which of course costs money that can only be paid via western union.

This sort of scam along with it's variant the Au-Pair scam can be quite lucrative for the lads and distressing for victims who may well be desperate for a job and thus not have much money so be sure and bait these bas*ards hard.

Oh and they are good for getting piggies from too Smile

One definition of a vacancy is an unfilled position for a job, so it does make sense. Although I can't recall coming across the phrase before.

Hotel only has 42 rooms, so all that vacancy needs managing.

Looks like a pretty typical non-chain townhouse conversion hotel - expect small rooms and a half-hour walk into Soho Wink
