The Security Sheild modality described in the Hints and Tips forum has paid off big time. My pet has answered 729 security questions in a marathon sit-down session of nearly five and a quarter hours.

Every now and again, I sent the lad "system messages" via the interface. These mostly would encourage him by telling him that his security status was improving. So he began getting hooked (I believe) in the occasional reward. Every no and then, I would send a message indicating that he was lying on an answer, and this would bump his status down again.

I was on the verge of feeling sorry for the lad after his 5.25-hour session of mysery... but the lad really is amazingly cruel. My baiter character is a nearly deaf invalid who is abused by his son who wants his inheretence.

The son beats up my character whenever he tries to send out money. This has not deterred the lad from doing everything he can to get the poor old man to send him thousands of dollars and perhaps earn a beating that will kill him. My character told the lad he is coughing up blood from the last beating done to him with his own cane. No level of suffering of an innocent causes this guy to flinch for a moment. He wants the money. That is all, and to hell with anyone else.

It's truly funny how this guy keeps entertaining long after the bait ended.

When this modality pays off, it hits the jackpot. It was sad to see him finally twig out, but still, the fact that he did TWO marathon sessions is just remarkable.
