About 3 months ago I got a scam email on my real email address, but yesterday after finding this site I decided I wanted to keep this scam going.

Dear after going through your profile i decided to contact you for friendship and assistace.I am Miss Godgive Jabie the only child of late chief and Mrs Jabie ,my father was poisoned to death by his business associates because of his wealth and during my fathers sickness he called me on his sick bed as his only child because my mother died when i was young and told me about the money($10.500.000) he deposited in a bank here in our country that it was because of this money he was poisoned that if he dies i shall look for some one whom i trust to help me transfer this money out of this our country to his account for investment purpose abroad while i will continue my education then the person will be managing the investment.Dear am soliciting your assistance to help me transfer this money out of this country for my life sake while i will come to meet you to continue my education in your country.
Dear am looking forward to hear from you so that we can discuss on what will be your compensation for this assistace.As i have every documents that relates to this transfer.

cantv.net is actually a real spanish domain so this is obviously a scam, and every month I get a scam email with the same basic story (father died, lots of money, need help with funds)
This was my initial reply on my new scam address:

I have decided to help you, as you seem to be in serious trouble. I do apologise if I am late in this reply, but better late than never.

^^^my advice is to sign up for a mentor and drop the guy if you are using a real-life email address.

Read the stickies and stuff,and be sure to bait safely. I'd really suggest you sign up for a mentor.

drop, and maybe re-bait from a new email that has no ties to your real life.

sign up for a mentor.

Or even better, get a new lad from the surplus scam letters. There is no shortage of them, unfortunately.

Well, Meh. So long as you are baiting safely:

Make sure not to ask too many questions of Miss Jabie. If you ask too many questions you're gonna scare the guy off (and it's probably a guy). For now, say you want to help and ask how. Remember--you are a victim. Be gullible.

Once you exchange a few more emails she will ask you to contact her lawyer or banker. Or "she will ask you to find a lawyer, but "she" knows you don't know any lawyers over there, so "she" will expect you to ask her to recommend one.. The lad may play both roles. The lawyer or banker will ask you for money to transfer the money into your name or for some other fees. "She" will hound you asking about the progress.

That's when the fun begins Smile

You will have to delay the lawyer/banker while she keeps asking for progress updates.

It is fun to get a gmail or yahoo account and ask your lad to do likewise. That way you can "chat."

It's a good overview of the scammer's poor widow with trunk box story, but make no mistake about it, I think our two lads are on the dumber side of dumbass. Your lads have got to be smarter than these two clowns. Smile

Follow the advice up there^^, just a question or two, and go slowly so you don't spook them away and get them invested and hooked. Enjoy your time here. Smile
