Do you think that just because somebody is writing English as a foreign language that they are stupid? Do you think that just because somebody lives in another country they do not have friends and relatives in your country? OK, so maybe you don't care if your family are harrassed and threatened, or even if your car is smashed up or your house set on fire - but you have also been told about the damage that could be done to your business. Do you really not care about financial security nor your future either?

We do know what we are talking about. We do know what these criminals are capable of doing.

If he thinks that you are a victim who has realised that it is a scam, he will probably shrug his shoulders and walk away. If he suspects, however, that you knew he was a scammer but were 'messing about' with him, it may be a whole different story.

You have been told this. It is not clever or brave or admirable to ignore what you have been told.

Why we 'Bait Safely' and how to do it.

I don't have any family that can be threatened. I don't have a car that can be destroyed. I'm not worried about someone coming to my door. Believe me, I've been in far, far, more risky situations than this. [p]
But I've been wondering what type of person would fall for this. I do computer repairs and that apparently is his target group. These must be some pretty dumb repair people to think that someone they don't know is going to send a bunch of money in advance of the work. Plus, the repair the guy wants is outdated by a few years (install XP SP2).
Anyway, let me worry about my safety. I don't agree with that stuff about "safe bating".

That is certainly at your discretion, and you may bait however you wish. What you may not do is post about any unsafe baiting practices here on the boards, or assume that it is open for debate.
