Hey, Im just in the process of my first bait, had a wonder around the forum and found a few little things that helped with ideas of where to go with it, but any tips for a newbie would be appreciated. My general idea is to try waste as much time and money of the scamer as I can, and get some fun out of it in the process.
Like the idea of trying to get a trophy but i'll see how it goes for this first one, try learn the ropes.
Anything that's good to try and get from the scamer or get them to do? |

Hi Cup,
Best way to start is to read thru Eater University and all the stickies posted on the forum. That will answer a lot of questions but other forum members are here to help.
Welcome aboard |

Welcome to the wild side, CoT! Ditto Bart's advice. Keep in mind that many more baits end with a whimper than end in a trophy. |

Welcome, Cup of tea.
I'm glad to see you are starting with reasonable expectations. You are best starting out with a straight bait, as it is the best way to learn the ropes. There is a very good straight baiting tutorial in eater U. If you haven't signed up for a mentor, I would also strongly recommend you do so, as it will help you to have an experienced guide. |

I too am new to all of this. I would like to say however, that the Eater University forum is quite overwhelming. There does not seem to be a good first guide to read (and subsequent ones to read after that). |

Hi CoT and MFR0005, welcome!
Maybe it's a good idea to apply for a mentor, he or she can help you with the basic stuff and guide you when you get stuck on something. I at least found it very helpfull.
You can apply for a mentor here:
http://forum.419eater.com/forum/cherrie_mentor_program.php
you can always ask your questions on the forums as well, there are a lot of helpfull people to assist you on specific issues.
edit: hmmmm, i have to type faster |

Thanks for all the reply guys.
Think ill sit this one with ought a mentor, just to get a taste for it, but I can seer this is something I will be doing for a while, so in the future it would be good to experience.
I didnt see the university as it was at the bottom of the fourm, but that looks brilliant thanks.
Perhaps a better place to start for MFR0005 would be here:
http://www.419eater.com/html/baiting.htm
Found that a nice little piece that helps with the initial questions.
Thanks. |

Hallo both of you.
As Dotti as already suggested - It's great to see new members joining us with realistic expectations.
So many people start off thinking that they will gain some fantastic never-seen-before Trophy from their first bait.
While you are absorbing all your reading and waiting for your Mentor why not write to a couple of Lads from the Surplus Thread ? Just copy/past their e-dress and Subject Title into a new mail and say that you are interested, but you need more details.
When you receive a reply, just ask for some clarification about just one of the points in his reply.
Tip of the day for beginners: Give yourself a target of, say. five replies before your Lad gives up on you, and then start again with a slightly higher target. |

Welcome new members. Take it slow and easy. In this College, you don't get graded, can show up late for class, cut out early and go to another class, party with the professors, and travel to exotic locations. You can be anyone you want to here, and change at any time. There are no deadlines either. The line between fun and baiting work merge as you become a GomerBoyz. Typing and talking on the phone to lads will become easier in time. Enjoying yourself while you help victims is satisfying. Take a break when you need to, as it can be addicting. Remember that real life is more important.
Thanks for whatever time you can devote here. |
