Hello Eaters! I came across your site quite a while back while researching for a friend about "Dubai teaching jobs" scam she almost fell for. Thankfully there was enough info out there that I was able to show her that it was bogus. Also, previously to that she was almost scammed by a "longtime friend" from her high school days, that was trying to rekindle a relationship. He at one point even actually sent her flowers. Eventually of course, he needed her to cash a money order and send him the money so he could get home to the US from Africa where he was working. When she received the FedEx, there were two MO's in there. I was able to google the address on the envelope and money order (I believe one was in NY). I told her to take the MO's to Walmart (which is where they were from) instead of her bank, because they could check right there if they were fake. They were at one point real MO's but they had been washed and the amount had been changed. I am glad she listened to me!
I myself am having trouble with an online pharmacy (that i have NEVER used) that somehow got my phone number. They have been harassing me for well over a year, at one point actually calling me several times a day. Everytime they call I let loose with all the 4 letter words I know, you would think I'm a drunken sailor! Any ideas how to get rid of them?? I figured that since they waste my time repeatedly that I would learn how to yank their chains and waste some of theirs!
Once I have done some more reading, I will apply for a mentor.
