This religion thing in Nigeria - A couple of days ago watched a TV program about child witches in Nigeria.
Quite often when somebody dies or maybe just loses their job, they put the blame on witchcraft, and it's usually a child that's appointed to be the witch.
The least that happen to the child in question is being expelled from the village. Then things go from exorcism by starvation over regular torture to even murdering the child.
So, oh yes, I think they are "god fearing" - And I think that this may be an interesting angle. With the right approach we might even do something good for those kids. |

I think I saw a program like that a little while ago- it's now illegal in Nigeria to even accuse a child of witchcraft. |

Chuda I saw that programme too ! Appalling. Even though it is illegal, it is still practised, I don't have any illusions about these guys being afraid of some legal endorsements !
They are very afraid of curses thrown at them and of being possessed by spirits. Guess remotely threatening with this kind of thing might be interesting. Just saying "my friend 's high school teacher who is married to a Nigerian guy here in Brussels knows a guy who practises underground voodoo" - you never know . You can mean it as a threat or as a reason for stalling because you are (!) afraid of them...
By the way, A LOT of our clients are Belgian women (usually not too bright) who want to marry a Nigerian. That's where we come in, and that's where I get all my info from .
