What happens to lost WU money?

My character apparently went to WU and filled out the forms but didn't keep the slip. He's never used WU before and didn't know you had to keep the paper, so he tossed it. He's looked everywhere and can't find it. Now my laddess is pretty angry. My character keeps asking her what happens to WU money if it isn't claimed and he doesn't have the slip to get a refund? But she just won't answer. She keeps telling him to send another transfer. But it is too dangerous for him to go out (due to outstanding gambling debts). And he had to sell his dog to get the money to begin with. He really needs to get that money back from WU, and she won't tell him how.

So, just what does happen to WU money if it isn't picked up? I'm assuming there is no way for my character to retrieve it?

Maybe you just remember 7 or 8 out of the 10 digits and your lad has to try all the combinations. Or somehow you manage to find the slip but unfortunately it's barely readable...

You need contact your solicitor (play another character) then apply "special affidavit" - to allow evidence to be gathered from witnesses or participants (by mail) who may not be available to testify in person before the emergancy session in court.

Ladette will need fill solicitor forms/agreements - for emergancy session pencilled in for "Friday AM" - but you know how these legal thingies drag on.

You get money back finally - drag it out - perhaps more forms - then because all the hassles, maybe, panic attacks, send by securer method.

You can sell the dog kennel to afford legal representation.

you could always visit sprykes.info and have managed to find the slip after sorting through loads of rubbish in the community communal bins (with a tale of how horrible it was etc) - with a corner missing, etc

It moves the game along, a step at a time - now you're just missing one corner, but think those missing digits had a 3 and an 8 in somewhere...

Tell him that you found part of it in the back yard - embedded in dog poop. The neighborhood dog who is known to be a trash can raider must have eaten it. You have to follow around the dog for a few days to retrieve the other half. Laughing

You can always use that "robbers" mugged you and stole your character's purse or backpack (The WU form was conveniently in there with the money) and can't send the money untill it is recovered to you.

Lost money with WU? Oh, that always requires forms. WU security forms must be completed by both sender and receiver. You'll do yours Wink

and "she" should do "hers" and send them to you. (I'm sure there are WU security forms already made by another baiter available here).
The forms sometimes require security photos, you can try to talk the WU agent into accepting them without but no promises. Wink

These are all great ideas. I will certainly use a few of these ideas. I was in the grocery store today and thought I wold ask at the WU desk ask out of curiosity. They said they could probably trace it back with an ID and give the money back to such a hypothetical person , but they've never had that problem. But that's not nearly as fun.
