What does a person have to do to get Scammers off my back? I have been on dating sites and have had my username, emailaddress and profiles changed manipulated and even my email address stolen this week.
I even just tried to logon to this site and had forgotten my password, so I tried to get a new one, but when I got the code to set up a new one, I couldn't get on. so I had to set up a completely new user name and use a different email since someone had stolen mine on here too!

I have been on before under a different user name, and now the scammers have it! Yah! NO KIDDING!

@Corona: cottoncandy11 - I didn't get on very much, in fact it has probably been 2-3 months since I've been on. I had some things posted in the LOVE and Dating forums.
Boy do I have some updates and I am going to write a book to help females with scammers. I have had one for the past 8 months, but have been cutting back with contacting him, but he still claims he loves me and we will be together soon! Yah Right!
I PROBABLY HAVE MUCH TO LEARN, BUT RIGHT NOW i JUST NEED SOME HELP WITH GETTING THEM OUT OF MY EMAIL ACCOUNTS AND DATING SITE PROFILES.
As you must guess by now I am not a happy camper  |

The reason you can't log in is probably because you didn't remember your username correctly. I've just checked that account and no scammers have logged in using it.
Please try logging in with the correct username and let me know if you are able to. We can get you sorted back into your original account, just post here or PM any of the moderators.
As I said, your account has not been hijacked by scammers. |

Glad to see you were able to get into your old account.
I will suspend the Bushy account for you. You can change your password by going into your settings in your account here. Click on the word "Profile" in the blue banner at the top of the forum. After that, choose "edit profile" from the list on the left and you'll see one of the options for changing your password. Make sure to choose submit at the bottom of the screen for the changes to take effect. |

I'm not convinced that such a book would be useful. Or how you find enough material to fill a book, especially if you restrict it to romance scams. If a victim wants or needs help, it can be found on-line quickly. Waiting for the book you've ordered to arrive doesn't strike me a a good idea.
And why for females only? Men are equally vulnerable to scams. |

Just so you don't feel bad I will mention that I also forgot my password two days prior to returning.
I also coudln't get onto the forums for ages and was worried that they had been China blocked, but it turned out that my company had disconnected the wifi for a network overhaul and I was just getting the main page from my cache or something.
