I have a dog that grown men cross the street to avoid but I can walk him with no lead and he meets other dogs, kids etc. with no probs.
People (mainly women) comment on his behaviour and he is a pleasure to takeout.
He waits for me at junctions. If an over-eager dog comes his way, he just sits. They bite him and pull but it doesn't hurt him and he just shrugs it off.
However, he has learnt that I don't put up with fighting. I would wade straight in and seperate the dogs with no problem when other stupid owners have no understanding of their dogs and shy away.
I believe that whatever vibe the owner gives, the dog learns that that is the way of life. Part of the pack!

I'm trying my darndest to post my doggie's pic. It won't work. No worries. I have a hilarious series from just after the holidays where she decided to chew the remote, was immediately busted, and 'posed' on her bed with the remote that had been mended with duct tape. She was giving it the crazy eye.
I know nothing about image/pic software. I bought a new comp early this year that runs Windows 7, and everything is different. GRR. |

I have the most gorgeous english staffie, 6 year old, most loyal friendly dog you ever met, really good with my 3 year old son. Amazingly strong but is always careful not to throw her strength around and doesnt jump or anything. And the wife just adopted a cute boxer puppy, hopefully he is just as good as he gets older, currently he is just a handful though, pissing everywhere, non stop bundle of energy, it will sit there and chew my staffies ears or tail, and she just lets him. very cute and friendly though, has a great temprement, just I'm not a fan of doing the house training stage or having my shoes chewed. guess im to old for a puppy, but the wife can look after him until he is calm enough for me to keep up |
