It's almost 10 p.m., completely dry, and the tornado sirens have been going full force for the past 15 minutes. One of my little furballs just bit me because she hates the noise (I guess she wants me to make it stop), two are in hiding somewhere so I couldn't collect them if I tried, and my old deaf one is asleep in front of the window, oblivious to the sound! The vegetable plants on my balcony are beautiful right now, but I wonder if they'll be ok in the morning!

So how's the weather in your neck of the woods?

1.30pm, occasional light rain about 15 degrees C, there have been a couple of sunny patches as well as the occasional shower.

Mid 90s,humid,but no rain in sight,except for perhaps afternoon t-storms.We get a tornado here and there,but nothing like the mid-west.Hope you and the kittys are ok.

23 degrees C, 74 degrees F was the high today with a slight breese. Take care Dorothy. I heard that tornadoes had hit a western town that the daughter of a friend was a newscaster for today. The girl did the weather, drove the van, lugged the sound gear and the tripod. I called tonight and found out that her 2 year contract ended 4 years ago.

Weather variable. I've had to re-plant my veggies three times this year because of cold spells killing the young shoots off every time I dare plant them out. Parsnips all died from a day and night of cold north winds last week. Planted out my sweetcorn yesterday so hope it stays warm from now on.

Otherwise dry and warm for the time being. Sunny, 17 deg at the moment.

Ironic screen name, lol. I assume I am just a bit North of you, good to have a fellow baiter possibly close by. We had a quick moving thunder shower last night last all of about 30 minutes. All the warnings were due south 123 miles(no metrics eating babies here).

Remember when those sirens were meant alert us to Russians launching missles? For that matter, the Blitz as well. Terrible scary noise.

About midnight, 15°C only (very cold for the summer, was hardly better during the day + clouds). No wind though...but no summer yet at all.

We got a ton of rain overnight from the systems that came through your area, Dorothy. Very, very active electrically. Thunder woke me up briefly in the early morning.

We are due for more storms tonight and tomorrow. I find them enjoyable.

Old ladies have been undoing the three top buttons on their cardis.
Strange, bright thing has been seen in the sky.
There has been mention of al fresco dining.

The major activity hit a little over 20 miles from here, where 25 houses were destroyed. In the end we got a light show and some driving rain, not as bad as last week's that took several trees and power lines out. The balcony plants survived.

My poor 95 year old grandmother in the assisted living had to sit in her bathroom for 45 minutes until the warning expired.

Another round of major storms coming tonight into tomorrow-and it's supposed to be 87F (31 for you metric folks) and humid tomorrow. I like the storms (until the sirens go off, that is); hate the hot muggy weather!

I miss thunderstorms. Sad

We don't get them in this part of the Pacific coast. But I lived in Kansas for a few years and I sure don't miss the tornadoes.....

Colorado was the best place I lived: great thunderstorms, no humidity, and no tornadoes. At least not in the mountains. The plains are another story. On the other hand, the Chinook winds in the winter were really scary at times.

71 degrees F, mainly cloudy. useless weatherman says possibility of thunderstorms this week. Yeah right.

I love thunderstorms. rain in itself is boring, but add some giant static electricity and you have a PAHTY!!

We had sea fog, haar, roll in from the North Sea early this morning.
So it was damp, grey and miserable looking, I'm told futher in the city it was sunny Wink

Still had sleeveless top on and windows open though.

It's been hot today with patchy cloud and tonight it is humid as hell.

I am hoping for a reasonable morning so that I can get the gardening done, followed by a crap afternoon so I don't feel guilty about responding to the 128 emails in my catcher account when I could be doing something else!!!!
