Welcome to eater, NSHF! Nice to have you aboard. Since I'm first in here, let me issue the standard response: bait safe, read stickies, apply for mentor (they're friendly - mostly). 
Beyond that, just do lots of reading (if you haven't already). Careful, baiting can be habit-forming.  |

I'm pretty new to this. Had one not-very-succesful bait so far.. there's plenty of stuff in the "Help" section of the forum, specifically the "Baiter Tools" section to begin with. There's also a sample Guestbook you can enter your (fake!) contact details on and I have to tell you it works like a charm.. got over 10 scam emails within 24 hours already and now baiting 3 of them at once.
Most important things I've learned so far are to prepare yourself (make a fictional character, gather the tools and forms and stuff) and bait safe, but everyone will tell you that |

I would recommend focusing your reading in the Eater University forum. Boatloads of great baiting modalities and info in there. |

If you post your bait on a blog, there is a chance that the lad starring in the bait stumbles onto it and drops you. If that happens, you will be forced to bait another of the hundreds of thousands of heartless criminals just itching to be your buddy.
