Greetings.
This is my first post, but I have been lurking here for some time. And enjoying every minute of it, I might add! 
I recently renewed my subscription to a penpal site which is apparently known for its activity. (InterPals) No sooner than I had renewed my subscription, I got this post on my wall:

No doubt this is a scam, but I would really love to play this piece of pond scum for all its worth. However I suppressed my anger and sent this jerk the following encouraging post. (I think I did okay.)

Welcome viuda, many lads work Mon-to-Fri and take weekends off.
I see you were posting on Sat. Really, they work an ordinary business week. Some work Sats, 90% don't work on Sunday. They keep holy the Lord's Day. ironic, ain't it...

Wow, I never thought that scammers might need some time off. I don't suppose overtime pay is too good in that line of work.
I think I have several other potentials but one I don't know how to read yet. He could just be some lonely heart or unhappy hubby. I guess we'll see. But I have one "prime suspect" that I think will give me some good practice.
Anyway, InterPals seems to be just as active as I remember it. Only this time I'm not coming back to be a victim. But I want to do it right to maximize being as much trouble as I can be for those lowlifes. If you're not "working" there, I can recommend it, even though I'm pretty much a novice.

I'm playing a little hard to get with my "suspects." I had mentioned to them yesterday that I was going on vacation and was going to leave the computer behind, but I "changed my mind" and decided to "bring it with me" after all. (Sadly, I'm not on vacation.  ) I thought it might be entertaining to arouse their curiosity about where I was.
I'm thinking about possibly letting slip a general area where I was "vacationing" (say Savannah, Georgia) and seeing if they might try to find me. Just as a test.
Any thoughts? |
