My girlfriend asked me if this was a scam. It sure looks pretty dodgy to me (especially the fact that you have to pay them to work there, and the persistence after you try to close the tab, and the fact that you can't view the source, and ...well, just about everything about it) but I know I can be a bit quick to identify everything as a scam. (I'm just happy she asked me *before* sending them any money, some of the stories I read here are pretty depressing.) What do you guys think?

Personally I don't like the looks of it at all. This part especially:
Quote:
*Listed work information and unique income examples, show the potential of these programs as stated by the individual company and may or may not be typical. The amount of money you make will be entirely up to you, depending on your efforts and how effectively you work. The unique examples listed are not meant to guarantee income or set income expectations. There is no guarantee of any specific income or any income at all that is inferred or implied in these examples or any language used on this web page. Examples are used for illustrative purposes only to show you the Potential of this work.

Sound like the buyer is purchasing an ebook with a list of work at home companies and websites.

On that site I can't find the owner's name, street address, phone number, privacy policy, contact us, refund policy or terms of use tabs.

When you click on "register now and get access" it takes you to clickbank checkout. Now, clickbank does have a privacy policy and return policy.

Clickbank only does refunds for defective goods not if you didn't make money from the ebook/instructions you downloaded. A credit card will only do a refund for physical goods, not ebooks/instructions also.

A few things worth mentioning:

- Nowhere on that site does it actually say what the job is.
- You have to pay to start.
- Apparently you work almost no hours, don't need a resume to apply, and will be rolling in millions by tomorrow.
- When you start typing "worklistings.org" into Google, it immediately autocompletes it to "worklisting.org scam".

Need I say more?

Bottomline is this. At worst it's a scam. At best it's a job that no one's gonna want to do.

In case anybody wants to dig deeper, here is a ZIP with the decoded (and awfully messy, I might add) HTML code, with JavaScript removed / disabled. I don't think there's anything malicious inside, just lots of annoying crap.

I have American Express refund a purchase I made an "electronic" purchase from (and not porn) and they charged me after the trial period.

It was a Usenet provider, and then they charged me and said "we cant refund you" after I had canceled.. Amex had already taken care ofit whjen I emailed them saying I am going to contest the charges with Amex.. they were quick to refund it!

Looking at the code in the HTML it does look like a Phishing site.
I suggest you don't enter any details here.

Okay, I don't even remember how I found this post, but when I did I had
to sign up to the forum just so I could reply to it. Time for a lesson in
Clickbank-Ology 101 ;o)

The site you are referring to is nothing more than a site for a ClickBank
digital product seller (note the "?hop=valleymktg" part of the URL, that is
a standard Clickbank affiliate tracking id).

If you aren't familiar with Clickbank, they are an online marketplace that
gives anyone who can create a digital product a way to sell it on the
internet. Basically they provide digital product creators with a way to
process online payments, deliver their products to their customers, and
give affiliates the ability to make money by bringing in customers in
exchange for a percentage of the sale price - usually around 50% or
more.

What happens is if you were to buy this particular product through that
affiliate's link (with the "?hop=valleymktg"), he/she would get a
percentage of the sale price. In this case the affiliate would earn 75% of
$39 which is about $29.25, and you would get access to the members'
area of the site, which apparently has a bunch of online work-at-home
"opportunities".

I took the liberty of removing the weblockpro encryption (weblockpro is a
software for website owners to supposedly lock down a web page to keep
people from stealing images, content, or source code, but obviously it
doesn't work as I was able to do this in under 5 minutes, lol) and didn't
find anything that looks like phishing, malicious code, or anything other
than a simple sales page.

As far as the whole refund thing, I have purchased many products using
Clickbank, and they are a very reputable company and it is extremely
easy to get a refund for any purchase as long as you request it within 60
days of the sale date. You can read more about Clickbank's refund policy
by going to this page of their website:

http://www.clickbank.com/refund_policy_faq.html

Now I cannot comment on the product itself, because I am not familiar
with it, but I was able to come up with some interesting data that shows a
very high refund rate for it, so my guess would be that it is most likely a
shoddy product. Any work at home opportunity that claims to make you a
ton of money with little investment or work is usually a scam or at the
very least a bunch of marketing hype. You know the saying "if it sounds
too good to be true..." well that is especially true with make money
products. Here is the data that I spoke of:

http://www.cbgraph.com/vendor/INTERWORK1/#items

You can also find a ton of other data regarding sales, popularity,
commissions, etc. by using the navigation to the left of the page.

Okay, by now you're probably wondering just who the hell is this guy and
how does he know all this?? Well, the truth is I am an full-time internet
marketer and I really DO make money from home. I actually make a
large portion of my income as a Clickbank affiliate, so I know how to
research their products. The data that I get from that research then lets
me know if a product is worth spending my time and money promoting
it.

I know Clickbank inside and out. So I believe that I can tell you with
100% accuracy that this product is garbage without ever even seeing it
with my own eyes. The refund rate says it all. As a marketer I wouldn't
even consider trying to hock a product like this, unfortunately many
others do not bother with ethics, they are more concerned about making
a quick buck, even if it means screwing someone over.

Even with that said, I can also reassure you that if you DID purchase this
product through Clickbank, you would have no worries because
Clickbank stands behind their refund policy like no other company out
there. It absolutely does not matter WHY you are requesting a refund - it
could be that you just don't like the colors on the site, and they will
refund your money with no questions asked within 3-4 days of asking.
You need not even contact the actual seller, you can just go to the
Clickbank site and do it from there with a couple of mouse clicks.

The problem with Clickbank is that they do not review every product
before it goes into the marketplace. They basically let the customers
decide what products stay and which ones go. Products that have
excessive refunds will eventually be removed from the Clickbank
marketplace and the vendors themselves can actually be banned from
selling on Clickbank if they maintain a negative standing.

My advice would be to stay away from products such as these (make
money online). There are some great programs out there but there are a
whole lot more crappy products and all out scams. I couldn't even begin
to tell you how much money I have wasted buying crappy products, or
how much time and money I threw away following the crappy advice that
I got from those same crappy products. Most of the good stuff that I
learned (the stuff that actually makes me money) I learned from
experience, perseverance, and testing.

But if you are as determined as I was and just cannot resist, I
recommend that you buy Clickbank products, that way if they ARE crap,
you can easily get your money back. But if they are good, you can still
make your money back and then some by using the information and/or
becoming an affiliate and recommending them to others.

All the best!

P.S. If you were waiting for the sales pitch you are going to be
disappointed. Yes I DID say that I make money from home, and NO I do
not want to show you how you can do it too. There is enough damn
competition out there as it is!

I'm not even going to attach a signature... or even tell you my name.

Looks like an endorsment to me and I'd be pretty sure that you have promoted them elsewhere, haven't you?
