Hi everyone,

I've been lurking a bit, and decided why the hell not join. I probably average about 5-8 scam e-mails per day (not including viagra ads, trust me I function quite well without it, thanks!!) So I don't really have to look for these guys. Though i would like to get a hitlad sometime!!

I found your site originally through a post in a 25+ gaming forum - clicked on the link and proceeded to loose 4 or 5 hours - seldom have I been so enthralled.

It has to be a real effort to stop these SCAMMERS in their tracks, they are pretty adept at taking advantage of our weak and feeble minded. I can tell you, it is alot of fun throwing them in jail after out-smarting them at their own game. Please let me know if you hear of any victims that may have been scammed by the U.S. Customs Imposters, we locked up in West Palm Beach and Washington D.C. last week. I suspect there are many victims nation wide, and the more loss we can show, the greater the federal sentence for them. "Weak and feeble-minded" is a very unfair characterization of scam victims. Many highly educated professionals fall for scams, not to mention countless people who are taken in by charity scams, pet scams, and romance scams. "Weakness" has nothing to do with it.

And as much as I wish we could get scammers thrown in jail, the fact that they work anonymously out of Internet cafes in countries that turn a blind eye toward such activities makes any threat of a US federal sentence virtually nil.

I know these schemes are very believable and many professionals and very smart people fall victim. But they particularly target our elderly and disabled very aggressively, and its hard to access the number of victims out there. As far as enforcement in Nigeria, thats a tough one, but we can certainly attack the conspirators here.

Hello, found this site during my career in law enforcement & have laughed my socks off at some of the escapades you boys & girls hatch in getting one over the scammers. Now I'm retired & have a bit more spare time on my hands & hope to join in the wind-up party when I can!

Excellent site, excellent concept..!

Have done a lot of reading and received some great advice from my mentor Branwen.. My problem is that my spam filter at work and at home don't allow me to receive any such scam jems anymore. Sad

How can I turn myself into a 'scam magnet'..?

Meanwhile, I have followed up one recently and the 'notebooks' have just arrived in London.. Laughing

Lads credit card and bank account details have been sent to Alan, so hopefully something will come of them.

Been veiwing this site for the last week, love it. I remember about 20 odd years ago my dad getting a letter from some scam dude from Nigeria and we sat around the dinner table laughing our guts off. I joined this site not only for my hate for what these people do, but that I was impressed with the care and time you guys put into this, I am truely impressed. @Spiderscam - Open a gmail catcher account (one only used to collect them) and use the addy to sign some guestbooks. Say something nice about the site you visit. You'll have lads in your spam folder and inbox too in no time flat. Google "guestbook + 2010" to find some to drop your address into. While you are waiting, just pick up some in the Surplus Forum. Good luck! Smile

@studleyhungwell - Gold dust lads have been around forever, but we have been seeing a recent larger wave of them coming in lately. They are lots of fun and usually can be strung out for a long time. They like to fill out forms (hint.) Wink
