Oh, absolutely.

Playing dumb - or, in my case, dumber - is often times an incredibly useful trick in collecting information. Similarly, playing blind and deaf are great too.

As for OP's question: Baiting hasn't changed me at all. I was an aggressive, unhinged, cruel asshole before I started baiting, and I'm an aggressive, unhinged, cruel asshole now.

Now that you mention it, I have started to treat members of the army of bill collectors who regularly harass me the same way I treat lads whining for their WU payment.

It certainly has quickened my reflexes.

Just the other day I was strolling through my local shopping mall when I felt a tug on my sleeve. I turned to my left and saw an elderly woman (I guess about 80 years old) holding a large picture of African orphans.

She had no sooner spoken those famous scamming words, "Would you help my church" when I dropped her with a right cross and proceeded to do some heavy "ground and pound".

Thanks to my years of experience at Eater dealing with scammers, this is one very sick beatch who will not bother the public ever again.

Anyway, I'm having a change of heart: Knock the old woman to the ground and kick her lots of times and then whack her with a huge hammer many times in the arms and legs.

It's a technique used by the TV detective Columbo. You let the perp think he has you completely snowed, then you mention one small detail that looks out of place. For Columbo, it got the perp a little off balance. For the baiter, it gets the lad to start inching away from his script.
