With deep sadness and regrets, I announce the death of my dear aunt Emily (my grandma's sister in law).
She was a kind soul, did not had grandchildren of her own, and she loved all of her nephews/nieces.
I have fond memories of her. Whenever the males of the family (my great-grandfather, my great uncle her husband, and her son in law) made practical jokes on me, she was like a mother hen; "Leave the child alone, you silly men!".
I will miss her pancakes, her cake roulades with walnuts, cheese or poppy seeds.
The funeral and memorial service were held yesterday, by 2 priests; her adoptive nephews as well, since they are married to the daughters of the younger brother of the son in law.
May she rest in peace! |
