^^^^ what agent1002 said. Working the low-hanging fruit. If Laddo doesn't see a MTCN by the 3rd exchange, it's not worth the effort, time , or cafe-rental money.
I second the motion of sending LAAAAARGE files. Just say it's the highly prized MTCN # while laddo waits for the huge thing to load. (Waits patiently)
We have "worked over" London-lad, but good. I think the torture will stop on my part when he drops my 4 characters. How long has this gone on for now ? it's 5 pages of thread. He's really not much fun to play with anymore. I hope he has learned a lesson from this. (doubt). You all can keep on sending ASEM's and lad will continue to hit "reply" with the canned script. he keeps chasing $$$'s, they're not coming from us. hehe

I'm planning a high res scan of a MCTN soon to be sent. It will lack all the rest of the info such as amount, sender, payee, etc. It'll be a BCC intended for someone else.. from another country. A British held island in the Caribbean

Accidents happen when the accountant and recipient are sent the copy. An extra copy won't matter if this leaks to the lad. Shocked

Let's see if he tries a dolla chop later.

He dropped all 4 of my characs. after 1 ASEM, 1 lad reply, I reply, and.....
eh. That's it. Laddo won't argue or fight. no fight left in 'em.

There is a good chance that our Lad is not reading email to sandra. It was a disposable account we have no real information on him except

1) His general location
2) One of the two addresses he used possibly ties him to another scam

The good news is on this scam there have been no victims.

Bad news our lad is washing and repeating. Evil or Very Mad

I just sent him a giant NEF file with the subject line "Here is the Western Union Repiept" Since I gave him the wrong number last time I thought it would be best to scan the reciept and send it to him. I doubt he will be able to open a NEF.

Just out of curiosity, was the OP able to get his/her e-mail and Facebook back? These lads can be ruthless sometimes when "hacking" is involved.

Yes, I got my email back within 5 minutes of discovering it was hacked (gmail) but Facebook took 7 days and many, many emails. I haven't had any repercussions (knock on wood) yet, so I'm hoping that's the last of it. Thanks for everyone's hard work with this, I really appreciate it Smile

It is worth noting the OP got the Gmail back right away. The lad made a Yahoo clone of it.. This gave use the nice trail of IP addresses to follow. Many thanks to Gmail for returning the account right away so the lad needed an alternate.

Wish I could have had a go at him, but he's just not biting.
Probably twigged that the account is compromised with people who are out to mess with him.

I'm "stuck in London" format. Weird results from that one.

It wouldn't violate the ITP rule to just sign him up for a ton of adverts,
especially Viagra and such if that's still a good e-addy. I do that with pets and since they "requested" info. it doesn't land in Spam, it goes to the In-box.
I would respond to the Viagra ad. and give my pet's name and addy and say "I need it bad, my partner says I'm a dud in the sack".

^^The lads read email all day and much like us, can tell what they want to trash. It wouldn't effect the lad much if any at all. It just isn't worth YOUR time to do that.

If it were to get too bad, he would just drop the box. It means nothing to him.

I figured it is time to poke the lad again and see if he is reading email. An old email account in the Cayman Islands is used (web based like Gmail) that shows the mail as originating from there in the headers.

Sandra, Did you know you have rental property there? There seems to be a problem with making this months rent. This was sent from the Cayman Islands.

This guy does not know of Sandra's trip or recent problem.

I reserve this for taking care of vaction trips, offshore banking, and other rich guy fun stuff. I may even be able to find some photos of some fun on the island to send. Rental property is expensive. I wonder if the lad has any idea of what rentals go for there near the golf course.. Shocked

A smart lad would jump on this.

I haven't let on to the lad yet that I only recently found there was a problem with the transfer as they were automatic from my account to hers. I recently got a notice from the bank indicating a problem.. More to come if I get a reply. I hope he as a few piggies for me.

I have been following that thread. I'm toying with joining the party. I'm still trying to iron out my possible moves several moves in advance. It's the way I like to play so I don't get cornered. I'm also pretty protective of that addy. I can't get another one. I'm lucky to keep that one.

If I play, I would start with Gmail and have a banker or someone in charge of a bank there write from there. I could be fun.. I've enjoyed following the bait. It has already given up some piggies. Very Happy

I'm stuck in London,England with my family right now, we came down here for a short vacation then i was robbed, worse of it is that bags, cash and cards and my cell phone were stolen at GUN POINT, it's such a crazy experience for us, we need help flying back home, the authorities are not being 100% supportive but the good thing is we still have our passports and return tickets but currently having troubles paying off the hotel bills and also getting a cab to take us to the airport.

I still have my passport so I can use it as identification, e-mail me the transfer details and the confirmation number include the amount sent.

To make matters worse, me being hte idiot that i am, i replied to him using the email address he wrote to me in, my real email address... and i dont want it to be hacked, so i need help protecting myself as well! i really thought this was legit! ive got to be the hugest idiot ever.

First, contact the real Larry, and let him know his email is compromised. If he still has access to it, he has to change the password and email all his contacts and let them know he was hacked and does not need money, especially not via WU.
He probably doesn't have access to his box. Maybe a password reset still works. But he should still contact as many people as possible who are likely to get the same story you did.
Then Larry could contact his email provider and see if they can get him his box back, or at least get it away from his phisher.
