I want to move all my saved passwords to my new PC. How do I do this? Google is no help. Every website I found tells me to copy the below files

signons.sqlite and key3.db but I cannot find those files.

I am using FF 3.6.3.

I don't think the password addon thingy works with 3.6.3

Password Exporter 1.2 Add on works for me in FF 3.6.3.

Huh, I read it wouldn't work with 3.6.3. Okay it's installed... now what?

Edit: I exported the PWs and saved a file named password-export-2010-04-09 . When I get my new system up do I install the addon then import?

You can also try FEBE if you are having problems with password exporter.

Edit: Tools>add-ons and then double click on password exporter, then click on "export passwords".

Yup, that's all there is to it.

Edit: The second program I mentioned, FEBE, will export your entire Firefox profile, it works great.

Wait... I didn't need the addon to export my PWs. I go to the show passwords thing in options all the time and I never noticed the export/import passwords button.

Don't I just feel stupid.

Slightly is just jealous because I have an Alienware Area 51 ALX and he doesn't.

I am just waiting for my speakers to arrive then I set up my new system. The speakers are supposed to come in today.

Edit: and yes Slightly I over paid for the speakers too.

This is my tower

It took me 30 minutes to figure out where the optical drivers were Laughing

Both side panels open like a door and LED lights turn on even if not plugged in. It's a Anodized Aluminum Chassis. Whatever that mean. It's heavy, I know that.

I have a complete 4 year warranty on it. Also, Alienware is supposed to be pretty tough.

I have been talking to you for a couple of years and haven't broke down so its owner will be fine.

You are just jealous because I am going to have the best PC money can buy for about two weeks.

Make that three days. My son tells me they are releasing a hexcore processor on the 12th Sad

Still though, later on today I will be playing left 4 dead 2 and you won't be. Some zombie killer you are... not Laughing

It's a quad core i7 processor overclocked to 3.86 GHz with 12 GB ram and 4 GB of video memory.

So yes it will... full blast Very Happy

I suspect that it may do slightly better than 2 frames per second on an i7 overclocked PC, Have you looked into a decent video card to go with that system. I've heard some reviews where the i7 can do even better with a decent video card.

My avitar is a video card that melted down, smoked and blew out some caps. You will need a good video card that can keep up.

I just got my new chip. My desktop machine is running a Core 2 Duo Quad. It is not the best for games but great for trans-coding media files. Cool

When I toasted my video card, it did drop down to almost 2 FPS before total lockup.
