Any suggestions for April fool's day?

I'm having writer's block when it comes to April fool's ideas....Anyone got any good ones besides replacing filling in cookies for toothpaste, putting green food coloring in the milk, or turning your white dog pink.

I did this recently just for fun...
Melt some chocolate (low temp.) and dip raw brussel sprouts In It. Set them on waxed paper to cool and harden. Put them on a nice plate and leave them sitting in your kitchen for other family members to find or take them to work and leave them in the break room or other public spot or make liitle gift trays and give them out to friends.

I changed my Facebook status a few days ago to say I was engaged. Some family members (including my mother) freaked out and started posting comments. I told them that a friend of mine was attending college on a student visa and it was about to expire so I told her we could marry and that would make her a naturalized citizen (I don't think you can do this anymore, but they still bought it).

Then last night I changed the status to married and woke up to many angry posts including my mother banning me from Easter. Oh I can't wait until I tell her it's all a prank. Very Happy

@Fartina: My dad's born on April 1st as well... I still pity my grandmother having to call family on that day to tell them my dad had been born. Laughing

ETA: Early congratulations with your eldest son's birthday btw.
ETA2: Another very un-funny and very elaborate joke would be to plan a test for your students on April 1st. Guess who's a victim of such a prank...

@La Belle Fartina: A good friend of mine was born on April 1, and she likes it, because she says everybody always remembers it forever. My own twins were born on April 2, by choice, after numerous expensive phone calls from California to Thailand to pick the most auspicious date. And to think they almost picked April 1 as "most auspicious."

Anyway, my idea of a prank would be to make up a fake Eater member, cause a lot of trouble with provocative posts by him, get everybody worked up over him, make a lot of fake posts about him by different present members, get the mods in on the act and have them fake it too.... HA HA FOOLED YOU (that would never happen, of course).

I AM VERY CLEVER BUT WISH I CAN FIGURE OUT HOW TO STOP PEEING ON THE TOILET SEAT

Someone seems to be April fooling a tad early for you northern hemispheric types - fixing siggy lines - ouch.

I was thinking of sending all of my lads a heap of fake WIMP western onion orphan MTCNs ... about 3,000 or so. And say that among them is one worth $10,000.

But they have to check OASIS security first. Too much ?

Oh I see what you are getting at. Oh boy do you have us figured out. You left out the best part though. You don't start out with a provocative post. You start out (month in advance) with a standard "hello" thread just like the ones that pop up here at least once a week. Then you use ninja mind control and the jedi mind trick to get dozens of members to turn the hello thread into a 27 page thread that ends up turning into a bizarre cult like following. Jedi mind trick some of the posters in the thread to put the member's name in their sig line and refer to him in several other threads. Continue using ninja mind control to make sure no one gets bored and everyone continues posting for weeks without even hearing from the OP.

Once last time, use ninja mind control to get the OP to return and be very pleased with all the attention he has received. He thinks the attention is real and not caused by ninja mind control or the Jedi mind trick. No mind control will be necessary to get the OP to realize he can get more attention by making "provocative" posts. You won't have to use mind control to get everyone to give him more attention he is now seeking because... well just because.

Sprinkle in a little bit of lady luck and it will be timed perfectly for AFD.
