WARNING: You are being scammed by a known criminal posing as Barr.
Ja3mes William3s, and his associates.

My name is *********** and I am a representative of a group of
citizens who prevent fraud artists from operating on the internet. We
have information from our informants in the scammer's community that a
known scam artist and criminal has targeted you for theft of your
money.

Please understand that the transaction he proposes is not genuine - he
intends to make you pay fees to him in advance, and then will ask for
more fees and disappear. This is a common scam which has cost people
millions of dollars, often their life savings and, some, their lives.
He does not have access to the funds or the ATM card that he
describes, there are no lottery winnings or sudden inheritances, and
anything he pretends to buy will be just that - a pretence.

He is trying this scam on dozens of people at the same time. Some

Please watch these short videos so that you can see that what I am
telling you is the truth.

1. Please do not inform the scammer of this communication. If the
scammer was aware that our informants gave us this information, their
lives would be in danger.
2. If you believed the transaction to be genuine, please stop all
communication with the scammer immediately. Do not try to retaliate
against the scammer, because he may have your personal information,
and doing so would alert him to our informants.
3. If you were baiting the scammer knowing that the transaction was
false, we will not interfere with your fun. Let us know if there is
any information we can provide. However, please make sure that at NO
time do you tell him that you received this warning.
4. Please respond to this email when you can, so that we know you have
received this warning.
5. We want no money from you and never will ask for money,
unlike the scammer.

Well, this specific lad was my guest for some time and he produced this gem,

he refused to travel to Kenya to join me in the missionary aid so I dropped him temporary Laughing

I have contacted the sender, and he is a fellow baiter who thought that I’m a genuine victim

Hi Happy_Slacker

From what he told me, this baiter was in the lad box for a couple of months and warned all his contacts.

So, I don’t think there is any angle as I stopped baiting from this exact account and dropped all the lads

Ah ok. Sorry , in this climate of scam emails floating amongst the interwebs, suspicion has become a knee-jerk reflex.

As well learning how to recognize lad mails, it's also highly useful to recognize when someone is being genuine. In this case, recognizing this particular warning and a reply back saying that you're a baiter would be appreciated by whoever sent it out, allowing them to concentrate on the real victims who might be entangled in the lad's scam.

Hmmm, I've never seen that one before.

What scares me is that real victims might be inclined to send a stern email back to a lad which in turn, not unlike the email shown, becomes a scam in itself. Much like the compensation emails for scam victims.

Of course this can't be fully extinguished. There's a thread here that talks about the lads liking for Travelex.com. I googled it and an Ebay community forum came up. All the members were talking about Travelex and how some of them had actually fallen prey to the scams that were floating around there.

Thankfully, someone had already alerted them to the scamwarners website.
