Standard lad as diplomat scam. I can either have him deliver via diplomatic pouch, or I travel abroad to pick up consignment documents.

Proposed deal:

My response:

We shall consider that sharing would be after any tax levied on your holding account from where you shall make disbursement. ... I do not like the idea that you were discussing with a friend about our business. Please, for our safety and yours; do not divulge details of our deal and correspondence to a third-party.

I'll have to see what my friend thinks of that.....

Funny how it slipped the lad's mind that the deal was originally supposed to be confidential, therefore any third parties were not supposed to be involved. Thats why you can't trust lads with your secrets. Very Happy

@Happy -- it was me who breached confidentiality, not the lad. In the last email he is chastising me for consulting with a "third party". As for Trixie -- don't you like her hammer? It's her favorite.

Ok, as for the 'third party' keep mentioning the fact that you are still discussing every detail with your friend, and then ask him why it is so dangerous for you to involve a third party, it is your friend. Imply that perhaps he has something to hide, which is the reason why he prefers not to have any third parties.

Of course we know he does, but I am just more curious on his responses towards that, plus of course it will annoy him further, which is the point.

My lad has gone a bit quiet since I mentioned how I needed to consider with my friend the next step. I'm afraid he's getting frustrated with me!

To be clear, it was never a "request". I just "misconstrued" his last email and said I'm glad we were able to agree to my receiving 55%. It took him a couple of days, but we're now on track to make some serious dough.
