This lad refused to cross any borders so an in-country trip was necessary. I can't confirm as a safari with IP as it only shows Ivory Coast.

Do the IP's differ? Care to post them? There are IP whois tools that probably can get you a more accurate location. At first sight I think 'Mariam' has travelled |

I wrote Ghana in original post when I meant Ivory Coast. (too many lads to keep track of)
I sent the WIMP format and after a few emails (s)he said they did not have money to cross any borders.They were willing to travel in-country only. I dropped him and moved on.
A few weeks later, lad wrote back and asked again if I had any mtcn within ivory coast.
It just happened that I now had mtcn for Korhogo but not any in Abidjan. Looked like it was good distance wise for a safari.
Original scam letter was centrum.sk so I had lad switch to yahoo for "security reasons".
First IP from yahoo before trip-
"this is the 2nd day i am here waiting for you"
I don't know how to get a specific city from IP if possible. |

Both of those Ip addresses are of Côte d'Ivoire or Ivory Coast. So it could be that your lad just changed computers in a internet café there or went to a different part of Côte d'Ivoire.

I tried a couple headers from other mails and only get Abidjan also. I'll stick to the cross border safaris so it's easier to tell. oh well.  |

You can just put the IP address at the back of http://www.ip2location.com/ such as
http://www.ip2location.com/41.207.15.203
http://www.ip2location.com/41.207.197.67
It will show you the Country, Region, City, Latitude, Longitude, ZIPCode, Timezone, ISP, Domain, Netspeed, AreaCode, Weather Station of an IP address.
Or you can do it in another way which is to use the email header tracer to pinpoint the location of the sender's IP address. It's very simple, you can just follow the instructions on http://www.ip2location.com/emailtracer.aspx . |
