Using Facebook/Myspace in Baits

So when a lad gives me the "Receivers Name" when they want me to send money through Western Union, I always immediately look it up on Myspace or Facebook. In a couple cases I've found profiles of people I believe to really be the scammer. I've never really got any good personal information to incorporate into the bait, but I was just wondering if anyone else tries this and has? Or anyone's thoughts on doing this?

Yeah, I am aware that scammers use Facebook and Myspace and sites like that to try and get victims. Often this is done by stealing a password and then posing as the person who's password they stole. My question was more about whether any baiters look up their scammers on Facebook or Myspace once they think they have gotten the scammer's real name? Then, if anyone has ever found any good inside information on the scammer and used it in their bait?

unless you create a Facebook account that is totally fictitious. Using a Facebook approach is a great way to get at the lads. I do this all the time and had a mugu send me his real passport because he thought he was going to have the good fortune of dating me (my FB is set up as a beaituful blonde).

I have a gaggle of fake facebook sites I use to make my characters more believeable. But I don't use it as much as I should
