I just joined today, and I need some help with my pet. First of all, I got an email from what I thought was a real girl on a dating website (Speeddate.com), she asked for my personal email so that we wouldn't have to pay the monthly membership fee and unfortunately I took the bait. This morning I woke up to find an email from "Amanda Pattison". I did an IP trace on this a$$hole. Here's the info that I finally recovered:

Allow me to introduce myself,i am Amanda and there is nothing so special about me even though with time you could find something special lol... Well why i joined the site,i did because it has come to a time in life where i have to settle down and have my own family and when i say settle down i mean settle down with the right man a man who is loving, honest and caring, someone who knows what it is to be married, someone who does not cheat..I will like to know what your intentions are......I hope i don't scare you away from the part where i said i am a missionary as i know not everyone likes what i do reaching out to the poor and needy etc.Basically i minister to the motherless babies, hiv/aids victims and the beggers on the streets.I took a step with the site, because a friend of mine made it with a wonderful man in her life 2months ago and are now happily married, i must say i truely admire their success so far and they are both christians to crown it up so thats why i took a step forward and joined the site How did this all start, i was at the age of 6 when my mom came to pick me up at the motherless babies home and took me as her daughter since she never got married and liked kids so i happened to be her only child if you know what i mean. At my age of 11 when mom died a friend of hers who stays in canada came and took me over to her place where i joined the ministery and became a missionary and was later chosen to be one of those who will be traveling abroad to minister...I was firstly in London to minister for 2wks afterwhich i was sent to Nigeria Africa where i am presently to do the Lords work.. well africa is a wonderful place and its my first time coming here, i will be here for 2months after which i will be going back to canada where i reside but if by his grace i find a special man on this dating site and things work for good for us then i will relocate for him. As the bible says: Ecclesiastes 4:9-12 Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their work: If one falls down, his friend can help him up.. But pity the man who falls and has no one to help him up! Also, if two lie down together, they will keep warm. But how can one keep warm alone? The one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves.."
Now one more thing....Why can't we ask ourselves why we all have the problem of everlasting marriages/why marriages dont last(high divorce rate i mean)in the USA, this is not because we are all stupid or not emotional,certainly not! Its just simply because most of us don't take this marriages to the Lord to bless or not concerned about christainity and its principles on marriage and we dont even value what the bible says about Marriages like my mom always says "she says if you find your wife in a bar, when times are tough, thats where she will be. If you find your wife through God, when times are tough you will find her on her knees praying.." Now with this don't you think life will be much more easier for we the Americans?Also we fail to build our relationships on some principles,which are very important and plays a vital role in making a relationship work such as Faith,trust,honesty,dedication,Commitment and also communication,we just tend to jump into it.One thing we shouldn't complain for is seeing the whole thing working for good and not seeing it as being too good to be true when we get started because when the right time comes in ones life everything begins to work so fast and easy that way we must give thanks to the Almighty and not doubting his will in us,no one is perfect though we all try to work towards perfection though.We need to chat more. i wish we could use the phones but bad receptions here will not permit that so usually chat and emails are the best way..If you believe that through Prayer and communication and also dedication that God can make a way in our life dont hesitate to contact me as i will be waiting patiently to hear from you till then may the love of God be with you at all time.Grace and Peace

As a bonus he enclosed two photos! Sadly I wasn't able to recover an EFIX data. Sad

Any ideas as to how I should bait him?

Also, is it against the TOU to post the entire email? I couldn't find anything against it, so if I made a newbie error, my bad. Mods, do what you have to.

Thanks! Should I just install a filter on my email address or do I need to close the account and start fresh?

/\/\/\ You can install a filter or simply delete any emails that "she" (it is almost certainly a "him") to your RL addy and/or don't reply.

As long as you are now contacting her from an anonymous new email address that does not link back to any of your personal information, you should be fine.

I would not close my personal account, I would create a fake account to bait he/she.

Thank you everyone! The sucker took the bait on the new account! If anyone else wants a crack at him the email "she" is using is [email protected]. Just make sure that the email header is Re: amanda from speedate.
