This one isn't too exciting, it's only my second complete scam bait, but I really pissed off this guy at the end.

Got this randomly, SOS but at least she tries to go for the vulnerable young lady angle. No idea where my name came from, just sounds hilarious. (My responses are bold, her's are normal and the lawyer is italics.)

Quote:

Permit me to inform you of my desire of going into
business relationship with you.Though this letter will
be a surprise to you since you dont know me

esteeming nature and the recommations given to me as a
reputable and trust worthy person that I can do
business with and by the recommendation, I must not
hesitate to confide in you for this simple and sincere
Business.

when she was about to delivers a new baby and since
then my father took me so special. Before the death of
my father on november 2002 in a private hospital
herein Abidjan he secretly called me on his bed side
and told me that he has the sum of Eight Million,Five
Hundred Thousand United State Dollars. USD($8.500,000)

services house here in Abidjan Ivory Coast ,as a
family treasures that he used my names her only
daughter for the next of kin in depositing of the
fund. He also explained to me that he might not
survive the situation he was at that present.

However That I should seek for a foreign partner in a
country of my choice where I will transfer this money
and use it for investment purpose such as real estate
management or hotel management.

Kossa sends a blurry picture, kind of boring and not worth posting. I reply with this. Don't know what it means myself. As if there's actually a religion that makes people question EVERYTHING.

Quote:
Ms. Kossa,
You certainly are in a tough situation as you have explained. But I think I will be able to help. Can you give me some sort of identification that says you are being honest? You see, anyone can send a beautiful picture, and win a mortal man's heart. But I am of the Hossenfeffer order of Immortal Monks and the main premise of our order is to question life itself. Please, show me some way that you can be completely honest with me and then I will help.

I am a friend of Ms. Jennifer Kossa, and at her request, I would like to know how we can transfer this money to an account here.

-Lance Checkington

Here comes the freaking laundry list of instructions.

Quote:
" To whom it may concern"

Dear Sir,

Thanks for contacting our chambers and I. Carefully read and understand these points and get
back to me if you guys are serious:

N/B:
That I am a very BUSY man here in the office and country(a senior Advocate)for that,I have no SINGLE
time to waste and will like you to waste any of my time, therefore, you must be read to do every thing I
ask you to do without time-wasting if I can handle this matter for you.As you can see, I work here in the
office every day and almost, 20hours a day!

1st Step:You have to contact the bank where this fund is and collect(though our chambers) their official
Application Form, fill it and send it back to them for
approval.

2. If your application form for this transfer is approved by the said bank, then, you have to (through
our chambers) get the Offical document of the Change of Ownership of this fund into your Name.Fill , sign
it and send it directly to the bank for final approval.

3.After these, you will open a corresponding account with the same bank in the currency in which this fund
was deposited. The bank will give you details.

4.Then, the bank will officially, with all these approvals, re-lodge the said fund therein in this
NEWLY opened account.

Step 5. Then finaly proper transfering of this fund from that your newly opened account here in your name,
to the receiving account the bank you will stipulate to them.

Step,6. Then, all the approval documents, re-lodgement statements, and Transfer information will be couiered
to you in originals to help you have legal and official access to this fund on its arrival to your bank there or elsewhere.

NB, All these can take place within or before 7 working days, if you are really serious with what you
are doing.
I hope I have answered you very satisfactorily, but do not hesitate to call me (0022505 514 228) if you still
have any further clarification.

Once again, thanks for contacting us and bear in mind that I DO NOT WASTE any much time on one single file
due to the nature of my person and work here-this is very very and extremely serious to all our clients.

Yours faithfully,

No way am I filling out all that paperwork.

Quote:
Jennifer Kossa,

Hello again. The bank is sending all these confusing instructions, I don't understand them at all. Please help me.

-Lance Checkington

Might as well give a light slap, a tap really, to the bank.

Quote:
Hello again Mr. Chambers,

Why do you insist on saying that I'm not serious or that I'm wasting your time. Ms. Kossa is paying you, so have more respect for your clients. What you are doing is very rude and I'm pretty sure that there isn't a single customer of yours with a larger transaction. We're talking about millions of dollars here, what's wrong with you.

Please write to Ms. Jennifer Kossa, giving her directions as well, since I believe that she is the one with all the proper documents.

-Lance Checkington

Seems I've offended his professional sensibilities.

Quote:
It is better to be mannered rather than being rude.Business is business. Therefore, I still refer you back to my first mail and do kindly come back to me only when you must have gotten approval letter for the transfer of this fund from the bank.

Morgan,Esq.

Meanwhile, Jenny gets back to me.

Quote:
Dear Lance Checkington

Greetings and thanks for your mail.
Please let me know/see those instruction from the bank
to you which you do not understand so that I can go
back to them for more explainations.Let me know where
I can help you on the said instructions.
jenny.

Quote:
Jenny,
The banker said that you must send him some kind of approval letter. Do you know what he's talking about? If so, please send him that today and get back to me so I can fill out the proper forms.
-Lance

A couple days go by, I write her again to make her speed things up.

Quote:
Jenny,
Please write, I'm worried when you don't. Also, try to send another one of those very nice pictures of yourself. You are not as ugly as I thought.
-Lance

Still nothing. I decide that everything is going too slowly, so I try to bribe Mr. Professional over there. I mention Nigeria on accident, even when Jenny says she's from the Ivory Coast. Oops. They don't notice.

Quote:
Hello again,
I understand now what is going on here, you thought I was an idiot. Well, I did some reading on Nigeria and they said that it was very corrupt. So I am sending a little gift to help you get this done faster. Please write me and tell me what to do next.
Attached is a receipt from Western Union, use the money as you see fit. I'm sure you'll find that it's more than enough to go around.
-Lance Checkington

I just put a blurry (and blank) WU receipt on.
Also send one off to Jenny.

Quote:
Hi Jenny,
I've sent something to the bank and now I think the process will go more smoothly for both of us. Write me soon, I haven't heard from you in nearly a week and this is not good.
-Lance

I think Mr. Morgan is on to me...

Quote:
Dear Sir,

Good day,

If you have really sent the said money needed for the application forms for this transfer, kindly send me the control number and the information you used and sent the money as I was unable to get any information from the file attached herein. It is just empty file and not clear.

Send me the control numbers , the information and the amount you sent so that my secretary will go for that for us to know what next to do in the next line of action.

Yours faithfully,

Barrister Dr.Carlex Morgan, Esq.

Tel,0022505 514 228.

Get your head out of your ass Doc, we've got work to do here! Also try to see if I can get him to set up another Jenny account. Hey, ten minutes of his time is still ten minutes.

Quote:
Mr. Morgan,

Please, I have no time for this. Hurry with your processing. I have not been able to get ahold of Ms. Kossa for several days now. She is part of this transaction and I am unable to go any further without hearing from her. Please contact her immediately and tell her to write me at this address.Thank you.

-Lance Checkington

Here is where the confusing insults start coming in. Shocked

Quote:
You are truly ridiculous as your name goes.

By the way, who told you you sent money, go and take it back right?

Well, I always recommend just a 'cup of coffee' to people like you. So,go and have a cup of coffee.

Dr.Morgan,Esq.

What's so ridiculous about my name? Go to any phone book and there are probably 100 Lance Checkingtons! OK, maybe not. But I don't intend to give up just yet.

Quote:
Mr. Morgan,
I don't understand. Are you giving it back? I can cancel the transfer if you wish. What is this about coffee? I don't drink coffee.
No one told me to send this gift, I just assumed it would help things go faster. I had read in a magazine that in many West African countries, giving small gifts would help lawyers, doctors, police, etc. get things done quickly. This is a mistake on my part and it seems as if I've offended you.
-Lance Checkington

Quote:
did you send any money?

if you did, send me the western union information/contron number-simple.

Dr.Morgan,Esq

Like I said before, get moving!

Quote:
Mr. Morgan,
I'm sick of messing around with this. Please tell Jennifer Kossa to contact me and I will send her the money. Otherwise, we have nothing to talk about.
-Lance

This is the last mail I get back. Firey red lettering was a nice touch.

Quote:
"To whom it may concern"

Youngman or what ever you are called, please kindly do just one favour bu NOT writing /contacting me any more, by this I mean, you NEVER NEVER NEVER email me again, understand?

Away with your fucking money, HELL with your lips of lies, and WO BETIDE you with all these your busllshit.

byeeee, and write me again only if you are a FOOL which I hope you are if I see your mail again.

HE GOAT like you!

Someone needs a nap! I write back anyways, just to see what he can do. Still haven't figured out what "HE GOAT like you!" means. Haven't heard from the Doctor/Lawyer or Jenny K in a while now.
