I've visited this site a few times before, and always wondered if I'd ever get scammed. I joined a site called okcupid today, and within minutes had an email which read: "Hello,i saw your profile on here it caught my attention and i gt attracted,i would like to know you more better,to talk more hit me up on my [email protected] to hear back from you.i care".
I don't quite know what to do, so I was hoping that maybe someone could take care of this for me.
I will say that the profile that this email leads to on the site looks legite, which again is why I'm wondering if someone could take a look into this for me. http://www.okcupid.com/profile/Ginassearching1.
Thanks |

Hello fortunateson84, and welcome to eater.
The info we have right now on this one is very small, so we can't really be sure. Personally, I'm leaning to this being a scammer.
Goodlooking girl on profile picture, showing a bit flesh. - check.
Generical message that doesn't say anything about you or your profile - check.
Wanting to chat away from the dating site, by using email, already in the first PM - check.
My opinion: stay away. If you want we can do a careful bait and see where it goes to, but if I had to bet money on it, my money would be on the option this is a scammer. |

Looks like a charity and/or inheritance scammer, based on the chat quoted in that thread.
If you're reading here regularly, your odds of getting scammed will go down. |
