A guy in my home town rented a storage locker and opened up a gynecological office in it. He operated for months out of it, cheerfully giving low-cost exams to hundreds of women, who apparently saw nothing peculiar about the situation. Eventually the police, with no poetry in their souls, arrested him, and his office is now somewhat smaller. He never mentioned genealogy, though, perhaps that was his big mistake.

My father is from the extreme south of the country, near the Bulgarian border, so it seems simple at first. Bulgarian paternal ancestry.
But then I read some books by an author born in the same county at the beginning of the XXth century. He says there were many serbian villages in the area and he clearly diferentiates between serbians and bulgarians.
Yea... Back to square 1.
