Checked both telephone numbers on the dutch phone company site.
the first one is a non existing mobile phone number
the second one is has non-existent area code..
so both numbers leave no trails.
Didn't know being dutch would help here..
edit:
Looked at the adress:
The rest of the information checks out.
just a copy paste of the offcial site.
site:http://www.lotto.nl/web/show/id=43938
Actual telephone number: 0900-0202 (€ 0,15 p/min.) |

^ The first phone (06)number is probably a prepaid cell phone (these are not listed as far as I know)
The second one (084) is a non-geographical prefix used for voicemail and faxmail services.
I haven't tried calling them but it wouldn't make sense for a lad to send out non existing numbers. So I'm almost sure they're valid. |

It's not the first time I've seen these. I've also seen scams that were supposed to come from Dayzers (another lottery-thingy operating in the Netherlands).
I even notified the guys at Dayzers about it back then, never heard from them again. |

^ me too, not many though. My catcher accounts receive dozens of scam emails a day, every once in a while there's a dutch lottery mail. I always give those some special attention, but most of the time the answering IP address is from Africa. So mostly Africans just using a dutch lottery as a scam format.
There are a couple of groups of scammers working from Holland, that's a fact. They're mostly located in the south-east of Amsterdam, a suburb with a high density of africans. The arrests that were made there in the past were all Nigerians, including the singer of the nigerian 'I go chop your dolla' hit single. |

Oh yeah there are lots of scammers located and operating in Amsterdam,
Seen a couple of them in court. ( I work at the courthouse in Amsterdam).
Pesky SOB's. Sad thing is, Dutch law isn't up to date enough to sentence them for just internet fraud/scamming.
It's a tough thing to beat, but of course it is taken seriously and good old fraud and theft are very very very punishable! |
