I took your word on that, devil_woman.
I hunted out the header, checked the SWIFT and IBAN and sent in the report to @@@@.
And the bait goes on.

Added on Friday morning:
I received a letter from the good doctor requesting the money tranfer information.
This was my answer:

Well, all this cost 150 euros, but it's worth it to know this afternoon little Miss Jane will be surrounded by colour and charm.
I got to the Western Union, filled in the forms and realised I'd entirely forgotten the amount you'd told me was necessary.
So I made the sum out to be 500 euros

Apparently it was sent yesterday, Friday.
The good doctor makes no mention of the flowers I sent nor of my upcoming visit to London.

After a fair amount of prodding, the delightful couple writes to me about details of the little girl.
She is "all right" and they are going to see her "on Monday in L0ndon"

I'm still baiting him at his old address. My character Ma1com went to London, withdrew six thousand pounds from his HSBC account, met a British friend named WC (as in William Claude Dukenf!eld, not the British term for toilet), got drunk, WC tried to talk him out of giving money to Dr Ringo, my obstinate character got angry and drunker, told off WC, got into a cab, went to Welbeck Hospital and created a scene (yelling "Miss Jane!" and "brain tumor!" over and over), got arrested and jailed, bailed out by WC who took him back to his hotel and rolled him for the 6k pounds. WC contacted lad and told him he has Ma1com's money but Dr Ringball has to come clean before he will deliver it. Ma1com doesn't remember a thing because he blacked out during the whole thing. He writes the good doctor to tell how embarrassed and ashamed he is, he has no idea where his money is.

Yes, it's complicated but it keeps the lad's interest. The prospect of scoring 6,000 pounds doesn't hurt, either.

It's not redundant to send previously reported accounts to 4lan. It helps 4lan build the case against the account. Report it every time it is given.

I would just stall, as though you fully expect the transfer to go through. With the holidays and the weekend coming up. It should be tuesday or wednesday before it can go through.

^^^Good thinking, though in point of fact Spanish banks will be operating full blast til Saturday- personal loans, lines of credit in the big shops and overdrafts for Reyes (Epiphany to you) expenses are very much in demand, and the banks are eager to cater to that demand.
The recovery of th Spansh economy depends on consumerism, so we're told, so it's in the best interests of the country to spend more than is reasonable. Or something like that.

Julie, never fear professional scambaiters are on the job. If you go back to the beginning you may summise that the situation you are reading here is being dealt with in a manner that should make the scammer refrain from further use of this scam format. If you are well and truly a representative of the legitimate hospital/care provider, please look into our sister site www.scamwarners.com and seek help from one of the outstanding warners there.

We try our best to stop this type of activity and warn people about vast array of fraudulent activity on the internet.

Julie, your concern is appreciated. I assume that English is not your native language so you probably did not perceive the irony/sarcasm in my comment.

Like Badgerbait said, several of us engaged with this scammer and made his life very uncomfortable for several weeks. If you haven't done so already, follow the link www.scamwarners.com to our sister site. That site can be very useful in getting the word out that your web site and institution are being exploited.
