Hi,

I just got this email. It is from a donation lad, but he is just started on his script!

He emailed me with the question if I wanted to donate. I said yes and this is what I got back:

@ Iamhenk: Report the bank account to Alan as it is an American bank account and it has the routing number. That is the standard at American banks and they use the routing number instead of the swift/IBAN code. European banks require the swift/IBAN code. This is what Alan told me.

Yes, that is a Closed lad accounts

Googling that routing number brings up that same bank branch. Together with an account number and holder name, thats a Closed lad accounts

Well this is just too easy. Is this another valid one? How could I check myself if it is a correct bankaccount?

I assume it is correct because he thinks I am going to deposite 1000$ on it Razz

It's correct.

You can check the SWIFT (or "BIC") code by going to www.swift.com and entering the SWIFT code in the "BIC Search" box on the right.

IBAN numbers you can check here: http://www.ukpayments.org.uk/payments_industry/ibans/iban_checker/ but generally if the IBAN is of the form (country code)(bank code)(2 digits)(sort code)(account number) it'll be right.

You'll only normally get an IBAN code from the lad if he's using a European bank.

I thought that Chase account number looked familiar. Scambuster3 reported it too in the piggy contest. I wonder if it is the same lad or a related lad?

Iamhenk: In case you are wondering, it is perfectly acceptable to report bank accounts that others have reported. It does not take away your piggy siggy. Many scammers share bank accounts. I'm sure Alan is very interested in tracking accounts used by different lads and how long these accounts are passed around. Keep it up! You are doing great!
