Yes Nanny & Thud, Chambord Chateau , there is a yoghurt called Chambourcy, named after the chateau.

Your second pic definitely has an Italian or Spanish look, must be the roofs. The bell suggests a Church or monastery.

The first building in this thread was listed as the science museum. This is incorrect. The science museum is nearby. The iridescent building is the Discover Music Museum.

Roycropper, you're at least a thousand miles out. My geography is crap and Google maps doesn't show it, so I'm not sure exactly how far. It was described to me as " some sights taken in old <city> quarter." I put it in as a joker and a tough challenge; I'm not expecting anyone to get it.

the Giessbach falls should have been the Reichenbach falls.

@wokabo, that is a good guess, but I think I can categorically state that it isn't. Sioni has a tower very similar to the one in the left of the picture, but they all do, and Sioni has something on top of it. It is also right on the river-bank.

Which means that it is somewhere here.

My best guess is Lower Bethlehem. I know (now) the other two pictures I was sent at the same time are of that, so I suspect this one is too.
