Is it one of those rental scams where he sends you a deposit check than later wants it back minus some money for your trouble? Or he sends extra on his check and wants you to send some to someone else for whatever.

^Yeah, it'll be something like that. It's weird though, that kind of reservation scams are usually better targeted...
