One of my first baits, the guy sent me a "staff ID" from the central bank of nigeria. His name is supposedly M@lam S@nusi, however, the signature on the card is Ch@rles G So1udo. There also appears to be a third, unreadable signature on the back of the card.
Do these people often make such glaring errors as this? And can someone please tell me where on earth I've heard the name Ch@rles So1udo before?

It's a famous scammer name. I've seen it all over this website. Some people have it in their siggys.

It is a name that has been used a lot by scammers, impersonating him. It's been so overused that it's become sort of a joke around here.

Regarding your question about the glaring errors: Yes, they often do. Please do not point out the mistakes to the scammer, we prefer they keep right on making them and not improve their scams. Very Happy

Charles Soludo was the head of the Central Bank of Nigeria. Hundreds or even thousands of lads have impersonated him. Soludo's successor is Lamido Sanusi, and now his name is being usurped by the lads.

It would appear that some lads are photoshopping their old IDs to update the name, but overlooking the signature.

As Ima says, don't point out their mistakes. Wink

By the way, there's really no need to leet Soludo or Sanusi's names. A Google search of Charles Soludo brings up 155,000 hits, and Sanusi gets 230,000. The odds of a lad Googling up a thread about them here are nonexistent.

You should get a lot of mail from Robert S. Mueller (FBI) and/or Farida Mzamber Waziri (EFCC) as well.
They will help you get the funds you never got on your previous scam.

You know, strangely, I've gotten 4000 some messages, and those names have not popped up once... Darn.
Anyway, thanks for clearing that up for me folks, and don't worry. I would never point out my darling pet's mistakes. It's so cute! Cute, if you consider a cheating, dishonest, illegitimate son of a female dog "cute"....

Speaking only for myself, I get all warm and fuzzy feeling when I see
mail to: "undisclosed recipient" its so close and personal.
Actually I'm on a 1st name basis with many big-wigs. "Chuck" Soludo
and "Bob" Mueller of the FBI. (J.Edgar Hoover never wrote to me.)

Seriously, in my catcher I check SPAM first.
