I downloaded the .exe and it doesn't detect as a virus under clamav.
I was wondering if the scammer just wanted you to download a real Remote Assistance application, since that would give him the keys just as much as running a trojan. But the f1compstepuk website has only been registered in Jan 2009 for one year, so I wouldn't trust them. Maybe the scammer works for them. maybe he doesn't. |

If the article is correct - it's not a virus, but standard remote access software that will allow them to access your computer. As you are installing this "willingly" no AV software will catch it thus the crooks will have privileged access to your system and can use it for whatever wicked reasons they want. |
