Hi all,

These are a few little gadgets I created to give my lads just that little bit of extra frustration. I initially developed them to send to them after they'd finished working on M7CN S3cure, but none of my lads ever did. Still, they work fine on their own.

Basically, these are batch files- very simple programs designed to do repetitive computer tasks it would be boring for a human to do. The ones I've written aren't malware, are perfectly safe to use, and don't cause any damage whatsoever to your computer.

Anyway, here's how to use them: The link at the bottom contains a zip file containing all the programs I've made. When it's time to send a lad his MTCN, pick a program you like, rename it "Payment Details Downloader" or something and send it to him.

When the mugu opens it, he'll get a message saying he's connected to the M7CN S3cure server and needs to enter his payment number. The default payment number is 40N39Sk4M, but I've provided instructions on how to change it.

What happens next depends on what program you've sent him.

Provides MTCN- gives him a random MTCN
Already collected- Gives an error message saying that someone else has already collected the payment
Error message- Gives another error message saying that the MTCN couldn't be retrieved
Closes- The program shuts down
Infinite- Generates an infinite string of numbers until he turns off the program

I honestly don't know how long it will keep them busy, but some of my friends tried about ten times before giving up. Hopefully it will confuse them a little.

My lad's busy now with $ecurity $hield, so maybe I'll send him one when he's finished there.

I'm thinking of making one that would turn the computer off- not really sure if that counts as malware as it isn't his computer. It might get him in a bit of trouble at the cafe, though...

^^ You're probably right. Now that I think about it, the people running the cafe would be the ones who had to set it back up again, wouldn't they?

Can you make one that makes the screen go blank and displays a laughing skull-and-crossbones image and sound effect like the virus in "Independence Day", along with the message "I CHOP YOUR DOLLA OOOO"?

How is shutting down a computer cleanly at all harmful? I can see triggering a BSOD or something being close to that fine line, but a clean shutdown won't hurt anything and will only waste a bit of time while he waits for the computer to start again.

Also, batch files? Wow, I didn't know anyone still used them...

Maybe you missed the part where I said (or implied) as long as it's not harmful, illegal, or considered illegal then it's fine. Just because you think it's fine doesn't make it so. Even my opinion on the issue is moot. I have to make sure we're not liable.

These mild annoyances could be classified by the powers that be as malicious programs, then we're seen as condoning it, and then we're in trouble. It's a big picture thing.

Back to the scripts, I'd like to point out that you don't need to do stuff like this:

IF NOT %M%==40N39Sk4M GOTO :No

:Yes
echo ERROR: This payment has already been collected.

That can be replaced with:

Code:

echo.
IF NOT %M%==40N39Sk4M GOTO :No

echo ERROR: This payment has already been collected.

That way you've got less potential for error (in case you forget to change one). You don't need to explicitly jump to a label right under your jump - it'll just implicitly go on to the next line if you don't jump anywhere else.

Yep. Just open up the error message and change

Or whatever you like. The full instructions for that are included in the download.

It won't blank out the rest of the screen, but they should still get the message.

EDIT: I checked and found my experimental shutdown program was in the original download, so I've uploaded a new one that doesn't have it. Oops. Embarassed

I'm not on Windows right now so I can't test this, but a few sources on the internet say that

will switch to fullscreen. From there it's just a matter of coming up with a suitable ASCII art skull and crossbones.

It seems to make the box bigger, but it doesn't go fullscreen. Might play round with it a bit later.

What I'm going to look for is a way of putting a time delay in, so he has to wait a few minutes for the "connection" to establish.

I just found out Gmail doesn't allow the sending of batch files. Suggestions, anyone?

I may re-name it to a .txt file and tell the lad to change it back to a batch file. I think I could fill the file with thousands of lines of junk (marked "REM" to avoid interfering) to obscure the real instructions, in case they opened it.

It does if you save them in Google docs first, share the files and then send the lad a link to the file.

If anyone is unsure about how to do this, here's a step by step. It's much simpler than this long list of steps would suggest. It's just that I've included every minute detail here.

Test by sending this email to one of you other baiting accounts.
Then log out of your Google mail account.
Now open the email in your other account and test the link. It should allow you to click the link and offer you a save file option.
After saving the file, you can then double click it to run.

I sent the file as a link to a Google Document, and the scammer said this:
