Recently, a "girl" called Queen Romeo tried scamming me, i did a bit of research on her and "she" is apparently big on blogging sites, the first message she tends to send is.....

when i read it i noticed there was something bizarre about it....so i mailed her back asking why she contacted me....the responce was this....

How was your day today?.Mine is cold over here in Dakar Senegal due to the weather of hamattan.My name is Queen romeo horton (20years old) single and never married, i am from Ivory Coast in West Africa and presently i am residing in the camp here in Dakar Senegal as a result of the civil war being fought in my country.
My late father Dr. Romeo horton' was the managing director of Bassel-cocoa and Associates (Ltd) and he was also the personal adviser to our former head of state (Gen. Robert Guie)before the rebels attacked our house one early morning and killed him with my mother in cold blood.
It's only me that is alive now and i managed to make my way to a West African country Senegal where i am living now as a refugee.I would like to know more about you.Your likes and dislikes,your hobbies and what you are doing presently. "she" had also included a picture of "herself"
straight away i noticed this was more than likely to be a scam as there is no refugee camp in Dakar, Senegal, and also the civil war in Ivory Coast ended in 2007....i found this strange...
i did some further research, such as on her fathers name, i came accross another guy who had the exact same e-mails as me....except "her" name was Kamah Romeo Horton, all other details were identicle, names of people, places, numbers etc.
Anyone else had similar e-mails? |

Please read the sticky's and eater university and the romance and dating forum. If she wrote to your personal email drop her and If you want write her back get a gmail account with no personal details. You will be introduced Reverends, Bankers and Barristers. All of which will want to help you Free her from the refugee camp for a price.

Yes, it is a pretty common scam.
Soon there will be her father´s fortune involved, which she wants to share woth you, which requires money. The Senegal scam. And the contact that she made with you was via a dating/soc. netw. site and not per email - that´s the only difference.
"Robert Guei" is one of the more used names in scams I think. |

Welcome to Eater, ButterflyFlyAway.x. The delivery might be different, but the poor orphaned and refugee camp constricted lad story has remained pretty much the same for years. Only the names and phone numbers are different. Instead of Catfish Hunter, it's Vida Blue throwing the pitch. If you need any help baiting this guy after you read a bit about their scam format, just ask. |
