Ima, you had better get squared away and stop being such a stickler over definitions. I suppose if you encounter the 28 day type zombie, your defense would be to explain to them that they are not really a zombie? Get real. Rolling Eyes

You can kill an "infected" from 28 days later with a gun shot to the chest. What the hell kind of zombie is that? A big faker zombie if you ask me.

That is not to say I didn't see 28 days later and 28 weeks later a bazzion times. There both good movies. In the first movie the Captain kept an infected tied out back to see how long it takes for the infected to starve to death. That is not a zombie. Everyone knows zombies take no nourishment from what they eat. Remember in day of the dead when Dr Frankenstein removed the zombie's stomach but still it tried to eat?

Type 28 day later into google and before you finish google gives you a bunch of completed options to choose from. The first one is "28 days later zombie" Laughing

To put it in layman's terms - The Dead Undead.

The "zombies" in 28 Days Later are simply a bunch of pissed off living people. They are not dead in any way.
If I decide to get annoyed and run around biting people, would that make me a zombie?

Its a great game i play evry other day (you do need a source engine game for it).
Its great for learning where to barricade best , what the effect of carrying too much crap is and how to effectivly deal with infected survivors before they screw over your little fortress of doom.

I didn't enjoy being a zombie over and over again. I know I have to wait for the round to be over before I can be human again.

I don't like playing with strangers. I believe they were speaking German. If there was a 419eater room it would be worth playing. Something tells me not many members older than 20 will have steam and a half life 2 license.

SOOI wouldn't enjoy playing because there isn't a button that allows you to curl up into a fetal position Laughing

Convict gaming servers tend to be an adult atmosphere. i can be found slaughtering zombies and burning bodys on their church siege , biotec and red queen maps. The server has a very strict policy on using your microphone : english only and +16. Just the way i personally like it (well , i still vote for 18 or 21+ , but hey , can't have it all.)

About you being a zombie over and over. Well i can't help that.

and for the record : there is a button to panic. So you can crouch and panic, thus almost reaching fetal position. There is no piss your pants / piss in a cup button though.

Its only a limited surival simulator. It learns you a few good lessons. Enough to survive the initial slaughter and read up on this forum if you don't know what you should be doing in the first place.
You learn things like : get a weapon fast before someone snacks on your brains. Stockpile ammo and reserve weapons. Building good barricades. Aiming for the head. Trusting your buddys and shooting the infected. Knowing when to make a valiant stand or make a mad dash for it. Knowing when your survivor buddy becomes a zombie roadbump / distraction.

@auguste - Well, create a server and see how many you can get to join in. I would and I'm sure SOOI would especially since there is a fetal position button.

To be honest, I haven't played much in the past couple of years. I use to play a lot.

@ SOOI - there actually are some underground cellar looking places you can barricade up and hide. You can also use a hammer as a weapon so you won't get weirded out by having to use a gun.

Back on to movies. Obviously the cult classic Night of the living dead is a must see. The 1990 remake is also very good. Unlike the original the girl in the movie fights instead of being catatonic. I didn't think she was much to look at either but by the end of the movie she is pretty damn hot.

Here is some bloopers found in the movie. Geez, picky aren't they.

The script or whatever for the movie is pubic domain so beware of stupid remakes like this ONE Zombie movies for the most part do have more then their share of low budget silliness.

All three of the resident evil movies are good. All of the resident evil games I played were good and very well made. Resident evil 4 was my favorite game. Even better then the first one. Very good training games. The first game was the scariest though.

I would recomment the movie that I watched last night: "Infestation".

Not because it was good, but as an advertisement about how bad movies can be. Imagine the worst B movie and times it by 10. That's how bad this movie is.

IMDB gives it over 4 but really? I mark it as a 1 and that's being generous. That said, it's a must see.

It's my earnest belief that everyone on IMDB who wrote a positive review is either a cast member or part of the production crew.

So why should you watch it (apart from to see how bad it is)? Well, it's a zombie film and a true story. It also contains many survival techniques such as kung-fu and the wearing of sunglasses to look cool whilst shooting zombies with a big gun.
It also has a hero and heroine who, unlike in most movies, aren't exactly attractive and are a bit ugly (a bit like Ima and Ghost there), so the realism bit comes over well. Too well for my liking. I crapped my pants over a dozen times.

Do you use netflix? They have a pretty good list of B rated zombie movies as well as the good ones. Most of the B rated ones are available for instant watch. Actually, there list for instant watch is fairly decent. Well worth the $10.00 a month for unlimited and three DVD out at a time.

Also.... not that I am nit picking but Ima sent me a picture of herself and she has the face of angel and the body of a high class stripper Very Happy

Great, just great. Instead of using this thread for it's original intentions "preparing for the impending Zombie Armageddon" some of you have decided to turn it into a zombie-ethics debate of sorts. I really don't want to have to lock it or split it, but if you people can not stay focused as to the true intent of this thread, you will leave me no choice but to take drastic measures.

Although anything related to Ima and stripping is completely acceptable.

Obviously not hardcore zombie groupies as there has been no mention of "Shawn of the Dead" or "Zombie Strippers". The latter being the more obscure of the two, features Jenna Jameson in a non-pron acting role (Ok there is TNA, but geez it's Jenna J.!).

Military entrenhing tools can be great CQC (Close Quarters Combat) weapons. Not the foldable, however, it must be the wooden handled.
